Considering the magnification of the telescope, the patch of sky the object moved across is very small. Therefore, I think a normal human-built aircraft traveling at normal aircraft speeds could have easily flown across that small field of view in one second.

Here's a thought experiment:
Hold your thumb and index finger an inch (or even less) apart and hold it at arm's length in front of you toward the sky. How long would it take a normal aircraft to travel the distance between your thumb and finger?
