Once again, I must explain to to you that the term "liberal democracy" subsumes constitutional republics, of which, the United States is one. Now: do you want Hungary ruled by a fascist junta, or a liberal democracy?

I admit I did not realize our constitutional republic was a form of a liberal democracy. In that instance, I would certainly rather Hungary have a liberal democracy

I still have misgivings about Soros, though.

You're the only one ranting about Soros Jewishness, the said aricle doesn't make any mention of this irrelevant fact and no one but you is relying on antisemitic clichés

Thank you. You are justified in having misgivings about the ramifications of supranational federalism. The EU is an example of the difficulty in creating such a system, and Orban and other extreme right parties are symptomatic of those difficulties.

If the majority genuinely wants a fascist state, they are welcome to it. In that case, the moral imperative is that we open our borders to those fleeing that state.

Fine.
Now do you care to explain why beside being Jewish and claiming to help promoting a debatable definition of' 'liberal democracy', you consider that Soros means of action and proceedings are worth being praised ?

Let's just forget for a while that you were one of the first to make mention of his nazi past.
So far you didn't react as I happened to call him a financial terrorist, a criminal convict, a corrupter among others.

Yes, you call him a lot of things. We both know why. Perhaps now everyone does.

You don't oppose 'financial terrorist' and 'corrupter'.
Fine, after all you didn't had anything to say either when I asked why he should be praised.

If the French legal system found him guilty of insider trading, he is likely guilty of insider trading. That does not make him a terrorist, and I certainly don't praise him for it. What is your point?

Educate yourself about his currency manipulation schemes in Britain, Malaysia, Thailand, ... as a starter. And consider what for a great achievment it has been for the population of these countries.

But why do you oppose his advocacy of democracy and human rights?

Soros is the incarnation of American civilian liberties ...

With such statement I'm not the one who should offer explanations. You should rather tell us why you praise him.
