Manafort certainly ticks ALL the boxes as being a corrupt DC swamp-creature. theantedeluvians commentary yesterday in his thread was pretty much spot on regarding highlighting this dodgy bastards past shenanigans. I hope he squeals like a pig as he gives up all the names and activities of other swamp-creatures who have played the general public for fools whilst collecting a taxpayer funded pay check from them.

Excellent effort on this thread J - for what it's worth, I hope you got the applauses you deserved for it.

It just seems so contrived.

Given that I think the Bushes and Clintons are fully in bed with one another...and I suspect Trump is in bed with the Clintons...and I suspect Obama is in bed with the Clintons -- and vice versa to all of it & everyone is tainted by association -- then I just cringe at it all.

Just because Manafort is a sleaze, doesn't mean he isn't good at his job.

That's all Trump probably knew about him, he was good at his job.

And let's not get into vetting since it seems "sleaze bags" are favored by the dems.

It's like, who's rules do you play by?

I ask the obvious question here but - How could Manafort be
a greater offense than The Podesta Group?

Manafort was just a lobbyist. Podesta owned the firm
and he is the one who met with Clinton's State Department
during the Uraniium One deal.

Right! And we know Podesta was investigated,
Still might be ongoing...but his house wasn't the target
of a pre dawn raid. That alone is telling.

It would be nice if Podesta got a surprise on Monday, or some time soon, and found he was chosen to take the fall.

I am certain he is had by the short and curlies on a number of very serious things (read as: blackmailable, trapped in a world of corruption), so he would have to go along.

Just musing. It would be a delight though.

But, Mueller plays on the same team. No need to squeal - protection guaranteed. This is nothing more than Mueller's attempt to take attention away from Uranium One and All the other Clinton/Obama crimes. Maybe to buy time while they come up with a game plan for the now NDA free informant?

Also for leverage - now when Trump et al say he MUST recuse himself - mueller et al can claim it's retaliation for the indictment in the Trump/Russia collusion case.
