De Blasio donor’s shocking testimony: $100K bought me the mayor (NYC)

A Mayor de Blasio donor-turned-felon testified in extraordinary detail Thursday that he and his businessman pals wrote the book on city corruption — buying off the Mayor’s Office and the Police Department using brazen pay-to-play tactics.

“We’re going to become significant contributors, but we want access,” Jona Rechnitz, 34, testified telling de Blasio fund-raiser Ross Offinger after Hizzoner clinched the Democratic nod for mayor in 2013.

De Blasio soon paid Rechnitz a visit to his office, the disgraced businessman told jurors in Manhattan federal court.

so it appears another Democrat, the mayor of New York City Bill De Blasio, engaged in corruption (kickback / bribe schemes). Suspect turned federal witness Jona Rechnitz detailed in federal court the arrangement they reached with De Blasio. The Mayor would support pet political projects etc while they funneled money into his campaign.

Apparently the corruption extended beyond just NYC -

In 2014, Rechnitz donated another $102,300 toward a failed effort led by de Blasio to help Dems wrest control of the state Senate.

Rechnitz said some of the dough was from straw donors, which is illegal.

Me thinks Democrats are in trouble... across the board.

In the issue of fairness, he also testified he heard people made a killing with bribes on the days do Giuliani.

But this corruption does seem serious.

It seems like it's been a bad week for dems that's true.

But we both know this kind of corruption occurs on both sides.

Well, if he had the power he would choose building designs, locations, who lives where, rent, and income. He'll push for something in that direction and it will be terrible.

im in the city all the time. guiliani was a pscyho, but one great thing he did was get rid of the beggars. now there are homeless everywhere again. i mention to the homeless, 'why dont you go get welfare and look for a job' and they get angry with me.

im a big guy, so no one is going to mess with me, but these beggars feel entitled.

one guy had on a perfectly clean pair of air jordans, and he was begging for money. i mentioned this fact, and he hrmmmred at me and stormed away.
