Bravo good sir for such a great analysis of what we are currently seeing unfold.

Everything they attempted to do to Trump (regardless of your opinion of him) is a direct slap in the face of everything people are led to believe about American "exceptionalism".

It seems as if the FBI is basically acting as its own entity that is not accountable to the people. We are talking about one of the most powerful agencies in the world, with the power to look into anyone life at a whim, possibly favoring one political party, and having no accountability to the people whatsoever. This is a nightmare.

This may be the most important point, I and many others have long maintained that the FBI and other alphabet agencies are precisely that. Entities that are not accountable to anyone except for what is known as the deep state.

The best part about all of this is the potential for our liberal friends to realize that the deep state absolutely exists and they have been championing the left version of their narrative, much like conservatives did for the right during Bush.

Fortunately the white hats that have been in the shadows with the dark, appear to have came up with a strategy of exposing them. They utilized Trump to do so, the more we see behind the curtain the more Trump proves to be exactly what this country needs, regardless of the extreme divide being spread by the media to hide the crimes of the guilty.

S&F

Very well articulated!

As a Libertarian I am hopeful we have the right guy to root out some corruption and get the gov off of peoples throats. I say throats as to imply speech is in danger now when you can't say stuff or do things they way George Carlin or the movie producer Mel Brooks did every show.

This background seems pretty solid to me... He's got a solid history...

Over a career that spanned more than 20 years, Steele performed a series of roles, but always appeared to be drawn back to Russia; he was, sources say, head of MI6’s Russia desk. When the agency was plunged into panic over the poisoning of its agent Alexander Litvinenko in 2006, the then chief, Sir John Scarlett, needed a trusted senior officer to plot a way through the minefield ahead – so he turned to Steele. It was Steele, sources say, who correctly and quickly realised that Litvinenko’s death was a Russian state “hit”.

Makes sense that he'd be the guy to uncover the collusion between Trump and Russia. He clearly has a solid network for gathering Russian-based intel.

The Washington Free Beacon is an American conservative political journalism web site launched in 2012. It states it is "dedicated to uncovering the stories that the powers that be hope will never see the light of day" and producing "in-depth investigative reporting on a wide range of issues, including public policy, government affairs, international security, and media."
...
The Free Beacon was founded by Michael Goldfarb, Aaron Harrison, and Matthew Continetti, who remains its editor-in-chief. It launched on February 7, 2012, as a project of the 501(c)4 organization Center for American Freedom.[2] In August 2014, it announced it was becoming a for-profit news site.

Anyone in the CIA / MI6 / Mossad / etc / etc are prime suspects of deep state international war criminal imperialism.

See my piece here:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

It goes pretty in depth into the motives the CIA & Friends had to cover their asses (from possible war criminal hearings) and try so desperately to stop Trump. As we saw the CIA so active in the MSM trying every angle to smear Trump.

Lawyers for the conservative publication Washington Free Beacon informed the House Intelligence Committee Friday that the organization was the original funder for the anti-Trump opposition research project with Fusion GPS.

The Free Beacon funded the project from the fall of 2015 through the spring of 2016, whereupon it withdrew funding and the project was picked up by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign.

While you cry Hillary and expound on your fantasy tale...

We've established the credibility of the author who has a history of providing reliable intel and is respected by the FBI, CIA and British Government. Also that he was a Russia specialist for the Secret Intelligence Service (MI-6) which explains his Russian sources.

And this echoes that sentiment:

former CIA colleagues told me that he recognized the reports as the obvious product of a former British Secret Intelligence Service officer, since the format, structure, and language mirrored what he had seen over a career of reading SIS reports provided to CIA in liaison channels.

And as far as the content of the report, we have this...

A lot of the Steele dossier has since been corroborated.
www.slate.com...

Your slate article shows noproof the document is correct. He does a lot of speculation as to why he thinks it real and should be investigated. And ignores things that were shown to be lies. There is a lawsuit to watch because they will have to show the dossier false. Lawyers for Aleksej Gubarev, a Russian tech mogul who was named in the dossier, were recently granted approval by Judge Ursula Ungaro of U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida to seek British approval to question Steele under oath as part of Gubarev's libel suit against BuzzFeed.

And think of this.

If this dossier is found to be mostly inaccurate, it will have potentially used to get fisa warrants to spy on the opponent of the people that financed it, and definitely been used for investigations and political maneuvering.

And many of these people on here defending it will say "Oh well, it was worth looking into it".

And ironically, these are the very same people fighiting tooth and nail against any investigation of the democrats.

1 former MI-6 agent with solid history and reputation who authored a report on Trump/Russia collusion,
+
CIA, NSA, and FBI assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election
+
The ongoing FBI investigation of the Trump campaign’s possible collusion of Russia...

I think I’ll go with MI-6, FBI, CIA, and NSA on this one, thanks.

Two things.

One, it was a hit piece from establishment anti trump types. The anti trump people were allied with the Hillary people in their total hatred of Trump.

Secondly, this shows that Steele and the connections to Russia didn't come in until the dems took over.

Right. The people who employed Al Qaeda in Lybia & Syria, TREASONOUS war criminals with 400,000+ civilian deaths in Syria alone on their hands, that's who we're going to trust? And that's just a big chunk of their evil from this decade...

You liberals have lost your way from a decade ago to such degrees its sickening and embarrassing.

The question is how credible is the author of the report. Does he have a history of spreading false stories or does he have a history and reputation for gathering reliable intel.

All signs point to the author being a credible source of intelligence gathering. Highly regarded by the FBI, CIA and British Intelligence.

I agree with the title. But not with your reasons.

I believe Hillary and the FBI do not want to release the contents of the dossier. The Republicans who started the research with this Analytical dropped it like a hot potato.

I believe that dossier existed , like the so called secret witness CNN claimed, just had to exist. After that, they could speculate away and make wild assertions because Hillary was going to win and no one would look at it then.

You talk about spy agencies, politicians, corporatacracy propagandists as if they're admirable human beings, that spew nothing but truth and rainbows from every orifice.

The lot of them are professional pathological liars at best, and ruthless bloodthirsty Machiavellian psychopath serial mass murderers at worst.

Seriously, yo, get off the hypnotubes teet.

That's hilarious.

Didn't you claim in another thread to be 'against' the establishment up until Trump? Now you are completely willing to believe them. Why?

No that is not the question for two reasons.

First, we can already see that his report was wrong in areas with a quick look, like Cohen meeting Russian agents in prague.

Seond, the entire investigation is because Russia is attempting to screw with the US. So why would we trust russian agents, who are the source of Steele dossier.

Not to mention all of the other problems I outlined in the OP as to why the FBI paying a person that is being paid by the DNC for dirt on Trump that is colluding with Russians being possibly used by Obamas team to get warrants to spy on trumps team on the accusation that they are colluding with russians.

It is so laughable that people are even trying to defend this.

Put another way, you are suggesting using a source that is colluding with russians to investigate rather someone else was colluding with Russians.

That is like me hiring someone to break into your house and steal things to prove that you broke into someones house and stole things.

But hey its cool, cause the guy I hired is respected.
