Try ten inch, they are made now in ten inch.

Edit: What about the "two inch" clue? How does that fit? (why I said pipe wrench)

Maybe just a reference to the size of the wrench itself.

They have the word shiny in there so probably not a pipe wrench . The not a avenue probably means crescent .

Well here's the letter of complaint that it's referring to.
Well I was looking through my window and I saw this dog owner walking his dog which at that exact moment was taking a dump outside me gate. I made a BOLT for the door and as I have a degree in running, I was pretty quick. Now this DOG OWNER who was a right RIGHTY TIGHTY LEFTY LOOSEY (I Should have made that looney) had SHINY, HEAVY DUTY, COBALT colored boots on. When I saw the dogs dump which was BIGGER THAN 2 INCHES but NOT A FOOT LONG I told him that this street is NOT AN AVENUE and to take his dog somewhere else to do his business.
Hows that?

Not a foot long is probably a reference to Subway. So 6 inch is the correct answer

After reading the complaint crayzeed brought, I give up. ^^^

I have tried calling in 3 times now.

Well just for an update,
We did not win, but If it wasn't for the weather, we would have.
I tried getting through until 3:20 pm at which time I needed to make the ride home.
We were hit by a stupid snow storm and it cause havoc!
On my way home on the hiway, I had to do 40-60km/h.
There were transports in the ditch, 5 regular vehicles and even an ambulance, all slid off the hiway and into the bush line.

I just read the update on the radio station website and all the clues and the submitted answers are there.
At 4:20 pm yesterday, while I was fighting to keep my jeep on the road, some snivelling creep took our $2000 out from under us!
