"Wikileaks, I love Wikileaks!" - Donald Trump (Oct. 10, 2016)

Well this sure is INTERESTING news coming from the Associated Press today:

The editor of Wikileaks is confirming that the group was approached by a data firm working for President Donald Trump’s campaign during the 2016 election.

Julian Assange says on Twitter that Cambridge Analytica reached out to his group prior to last November, but Wikileaks rejected the company’s “approach.” Assange isn’t specifying the content of that approach

ASSANGE...the guy with a TV show on Russian state tv? Hm...could this explain the recent propaganda offensive?

The AP cont:

He issued the tweet after a news website, The Daily Beast, reported that Cambridge Analytica CEO Alexander Nix reached out to Assange during the presidential campaign about the possible release of 33,000 of Hillary Clinton’s missing emails. Those emails have never been publicly released.

Robert Mercer, a billionaire Trump supporter, is a backer of Cambridge Analytica. Former White House strategist Steve Bannon served as a vice president at the company before joining the administration.

Associated Press

It all starts to circle back around...

And now? Now the Trump people can't distance themselves from Cambridge Analytica fast enough!

twitter.com...

You see...hiring an AMERICAN company for opposition research on your OPPONENT is OK. . . Conducting business with a wanted criminal intelligence leaking group is kind of different...

Somehow I think the next conservative talking point is going to try and SPIN treason as "patriotism". Anyone care to guess odds?

The irony here is yuuuuge. Trump's OWN DCIA (Director of CIA Mike Pompeo) has stated that Wikileaks is a, "non-state hostile intelligence service.".

TLDR: Trump campaign: Requesting classified material obtained by Russian intelligence and laundered through Wikileaks.

Fun times folks!!!

Clinton seems to be the only one with evidence against her though, hahaha

So I guess this is the start of Russia trying to pull the plug on Trump? It's a win for them, regardless, since their goal has always been to destabilize the U.S.

Excellent.

When and what month, the article indicates prior to election in 2016. Nov? Sept? June? Were they acting on Trumps behalf or their own interests?

The reason I ask is because TheAntedalluvian did a great thread here: www.abovetopsecret.com... which if you read through you will also find another branch that extends back to the D party. Curious, no?

Since you put this in the mudpit I will add that if we are going hold entities guilty by association and call treason based on exchanges with foreign entities, then neither R nor D is safe from the fallout.

Well someone had to throw a high and tight pitch at Trump today after all the out of the park blasts that the Leftists gave up the last couple days.
Even the Leftists can only take so many blows before they try to hit back.

So Trump surely will be impeached for this, right?

It somehow proves something somewhere, right?

Prior charges from secrecy violations come to mind ,taking precedent.

You're missing the part that matters. By not disclosing when 'prior' to last November would give a better indication of the real motive. Last September or October, even some of the staunches Trump supporters did not think he would win.

Hell, even on election night there were still doubters. So let alone winning the nomination, becoming PotUS was still a far reach. The reputations on the line wouldn't be worth the risk.

However, you go and spin it any way you like.

Seems to me that you guys didn't believe him when he said that all the corrupt DNC emails didn't come from Russia.

It was an intel gathering effort.

And they found out what they were looking for.

And it sent the right people off on a wild goose chase.

It's still working.

Well we know the Trump team was paying for Cambridge Analytica services for sure. As was Ted Cruz who was paying for their services even before Trump. But Trump ended up being their Main Client near the end and getting much larger payments from his team. This is all documented and even threads here made on it already. They are an interesting outfit too and well worth the research for those interested.

That's where all the targeted campaign propaganda was coming from. They have a special psychological way of knowing people better than they know themselves and use social media to control what people think. Weird sh*t.

So he can't distance himself from them. We all know about Bannon and Mercer connection to it and being connected to Trump. Now it seems they're connected to Wikileaks and Russia digging for some dirt on Hillary as well, huh.

Doesn't surprise me. I knew Cambridge Analytica would surface again in some way. They are key to this whole thing but not talked about a whole lot by most people.

They "technically" didn't.

Ever heard of hiring a CONTRACTOR?

Being BEHIND something and being directly involved are "technically" not the same thing.

Doesn't mean that Russia didn't plan and support the hack that obtained them.

Such 2-D thinking...

Awe, you're upset that your beloved bitch just got caught with her pants down (again!) in the Uranium One scandal, aren't you?

That's so cute!

But seriously, take that # somewhere else.

Is there proof of that? I've not seen it.

I'll assume it is and say that they were hedging for sure.

en.wikipedia.org... They are in on both parties.

It does not confirm what kind of approach though. Everyone wanted to know what was going to happen with those emails, we still do and really we have a right to.

Your bias is clearly showing when you claim the material was obtained by Russian Intelligence, great job with spreading some good old propaganda.
