I read recently somewhere around here that one of the shrink wrapped airframes sitting in in plain view was suspected to be a surviving copy. So likely not one of those designs that did too well and "died"?

Lasers are like Rods From God. They're cool as hell, and they work under certain situations, but in large part are over rated.

They have their uses, and will make useful tools, just as any other tool would. But they're not the super weapon that people seem to think.
