Bernies credibility was lost when he sided with HRC and the corrupt DNC. I don't think I'm the only one who views him in this light.

agreed plus there was that sketchy email that was leaked which suggested a pre approved agreement between hillary campaign and bernies campaign.

once he saw the corrupted hillary rigging the dnc election by sabotaging his campaign and cheating with the MSM he should have kept his integrity and not supported her or anybof the above. he pissed all over his message of anti corruption the minute he endorsed her .

after what the dnc ,Hillary, and the msm did to him i cant blame him for running independent , but its a little to late. he had his opportunity to expise the dnc corruption but he chose to fall into line with the corrupted system.

I guess your natrative fits you better by spreading false info based on your belief with no facts or even non facts to back what you say. Please go home and play in your dead garden whilst I hang with the chickens and laugh with them at such stupid thoughts.

Funny in her new book she lays blame on him for her loss. Yet he should continue to support democrats the irony.

Bernie, and indeed, the American people, could have gained nothing by him sabotaging the election process, as you well know.

He was over a barrel. He knew he had been screwed, but he was looking down the barrel of a Trump Presidency. He knew precisely what damage that would do, since it would be the very opposite of a fair, people powered, corporation rebuffing Presidency, but instead, a presidency which even further mires the United States in the corporatist mess that it has been led into by successive governments and administrations. He also knew that although Hillary is dirt, she is dirt who cares what people think, which means that when shes messing with peoples lives and murdering people (which both individuals in the eventual running would have been doing anyway), she also would provide some mitigations to quell the disquiet in the population.

Bernie knew that Trump would not, that he would merely do whatever he felt like, without the slightest care in the world, and damage the nation in the process, which every other word out of the mans mouth, and his every action since becoming the President, has borne out as being an accurate assessment. Now, you can disagree that trying to prevent the most blatantly authoritarian, fascist apologist, incompetent, clueless, low brow President for many years from being elected, by reluctantly suggesting that people vote for the most duplicitous, arch bitch ever to run for office, was not the right decision, but you cannot argue that it was made because Bernie liked it, or indeed agreed with Clinton in general about anything. The point of the matter, is that he knew that Clinton, for all that she is literal filth, is filth who has pretensions of class. Yes, we all know those pretensions mean nothing much, but they do mitigate her worst excesses. Trump does not care at all, so his excesses are a constant source of concern, for which no one in the White House, leave alone the President himself, seems to be willing to mitigate in the least.

The only thing we can say is that forced to consider a Trump Presidency, the alternative seemed to be preferable. You can disagree, but you cannot simply accuse the man of some conspiracy or corruption, just because he did his best with a crappy hand of cards.

It's not the Sanders is not a Democrat. It's more that red state Democrats are Republican Lite.

Unfortunately if you want to actually be considered a real chance to be President you have to join one of the two major parties.

I'm so happy I have the choice between two corrupt parties that each deliver their own steaming piles of BS and get media hype while third parties are ignored and barred from the game completely.

Elephants and Donkeys turds forever and ever or until the republic falls apart!

Many Democrats felt that Bernie betrayed them by claiming to be a Democrat when he was obviously just using the party to bolster his electoral chances.

Him ditching the Dems was a foregone conclusion foreseen by many. He did nothing to support the Dem party organization while claiming to be "one of them." He wasn't a team player, so many didn't like him claiming to be on the team to begin with, especially when there were others running who had been loyal for decades.

Bernie has ALWAYS been an Independent, no matter what he claimed to be running as. He sees he has the following to run as an Independent now, and can fundraiser and garner support on his own.

I'm an Independent so I don't care one way or another. But I think people who give the Dems a hard time about how they "treated" Bernie are naive - a relationship takes two committed parties, and Bernie is and always has been a party of one.

He should've done that the first time.

Although using the DNC for promotional purposes early on was smart.

When the nomination came up and Hillary won, through less than reputable means, he should've at the mic said "Well that sucks. Hillary sucks to, vote for me guys, I'm running Independent".

But he didn't do that, and it hurt his credibility a lot I think.

He's been an Independent. He only changed over for the Presidential race.

Heiis a flip flopper like John kerry. I cant trust a man who didnt stay indepedent and didnt argue in court against the pre selection of clinton. Clintons people even paid off his debts.

He has one of the most consistent voting records ever. He's been voting along the same ideals for years. That isn't a flip flopper. I'm sure you can show some times he's changed his views but who doesn't??? Look at his voting record over decades and you'll see he's had the same position on things for most of his life and stuck with it.

Everyone knows if you aren't part of one of the two major parties you're not even taken seriously. That's why he went Dem. for the Presidential election. He's going back to Independent for his seat again like he always has. That's how our broken system works. You're being purposefully stubborn about that.

I have no idea what you're talking about being in court about Clinton's Pre-Selection.

What do you have to show that Clinton's were paying off his debts??? You're accusing him of taking bribes by saying that BTW. You wanna actually back that up with evidence???

A lot of people feel that way. I sort of do to actually but I understand why he did what he did.

I also thought he should have said "F you Dems, I'm going Independent for you screwing me."

But I honestly think he saw Trump as being so bad that it would come down to him or Hillary and he thought doing anything to keep out Trump was the way to go. Maybe he made the wrong choice maybe not. We'll never know at this point. Trump also used this whole argument in his favor as well and lured a bunch of flip flopping Bernie voters because they didn't have enough courage to stand by Sanders and support him when things got tough. They were there when things were fun and exciting but when it started looking bad they bailed. So screw them.

"The daily wire

Across the nation, in the states of Arizona, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington and Wisconsin, the Sanders campaign still owes a disputed $450,000 to various cities. Those figures include over $117,000 to the Santa Monica, California police department; $67,000 to the Irvine, California police department; over $44,000 to the Tucson, Arizona police department; over $33,000 to the Spokane, Washington police department; over $28,000 to the city of Vallejo, California; over $28,000 to the National City, California police department; over $25,000 to Upper Providence Township in Pennsylvania; over $23,000 to the Cloverdale, California police department, and over $22,000 to the Solano County Sheriff’s Office in Fairfield, California." I think before he gets to run again he needs to pay this back.

OK ..Apparently the payed by CLinton after research its just a coincidence he got a half million dollar home. and i believe that actually from what was in th earticle.

As to bernie taking clinton to court. the DNC had rigged the game and perpetrated a fraud of a primary and campaigning season.Debbie was canned because he found out about the picking of clinton before he even announced a run.

Berns supporters wanted Bern to fight but he did not. why? He could had won if he was serious.

The daily wire is a Ben Shapiro media outlet right?? He's got an awfully hard Right way of seeing things, however I've listened to him a couple times and he's actually very smart and knows what he's talking about.

There's got to be more to that story than what's here though. It doesn't make much sense that Hillary is going to pay anything for Sanders or why all that was being owed and wasn't paid if that's even accurate.

I do know the new house thing isn't a scandal. His wife had a house given to her by her parents that they owned for a while and they sold it to buy the new one because the other one was too far away and they never went there. That's where that money came from.

I remember him talking about it publicly and wanting an investigation into the DNC corruption but the way I remember it, it just never happened. They basically had a way of just denying him any such action or stonewalled the whole thing and there was nothing he could do about it no matter if he wanted to or not.

It may sound foolish to you but I don't see Sanders getting caught up in some payoff BS like that or anything else. It's just not how he does stuff at all. He's actually, for a politician, such a straight arrow it works against him most of the time. You can dig and dig but the man has a history of not getting into such sleazy political games as that at any point. I mean you know both sides were paying for any negative info on the guy during the campaign and even then the best they came up with was a essay he wrote in college talking about a "woman's rape fantasy" and even then they had to twist the entire thing into the opposite of what it actually said to make headlines with it.

Welcome to my world!

I'm a life long democrat-registered and everything. Two time state delegate. Yet I find myself on the outside of their party looking in...and wondering WTF?

I actively campaigned against Washington states two democratic Senators. Needless to say, I made no friends among the movers and shakers locally... Traitor was even tossed my way by way of greeting at one, the only, meeting I attended a few months back.

Mostly because I won't partake in their monthly Trump-hate fests. The only ones to blame for their problems are the ones looking out of the mirror.

Sanders will be viewed, though far more harshly (if that's possible...) than I was, am. For daring to defy the party in whatever fashion he's actually doing so.

Bernie needs to watch his back.

For those who own our country and have envisioned this two party system as a control system, the worst scenario in the world would be the dissolution of the two party system. Having gained fame as a democratic candidate, Bernie actually stands a chance of winning as a third party candidate, setting a precedent for more to come. Imagine that! The Green Party may be taken seriously, or the Libertarians or even the United States Marijuana Party!

They must not allow him to run as independent or it all crumbles.

Stay safe Bernie.

He knew he couldn't win against the machine and ... killing machine lol. But yea, I wouldn't mind having that socialist in the office... he'd try hard as he could, I don't believe he is bought and paid for... and the republicans would make him a lame duck. Which I think is good for America personally.
