A federal judge in San Francisco has denied the FBI’s attempt to dismiss a lawsuit brought by a local activist who raised money for Barrett Brown. Brown is a journalist who was released from prison last year.

Was watching Cyberwar on Viceland - www.viceland.com...

This guy, should be 95% of ATS user's Hero to some degree.

He has done and continues to do, through F.O.I.A. ( Freedom Of Information Act ) and before, hacks and info dumps.

Our future is in jeopardy, your privacy, your everything, all teeters on the smoke and mirrors that get dumped all over you all daily, in the name of disinformation and public social engineering to basically control the masses.

Want to talk about a real conspiracy? Because, this is the mother-lode, these people, just like Barrett Brown, do nothing but risk their own freedom, to set the record transparent. When you hear about hidden backroom B.S. that affects you, it's people like Barrett down in the trenches, fighting the good fight, going to prison in some cases, just because they saw shady shight going down, and exposed it.

----

When freedom really isn't free, and costs your own freewill, then you have a problem that needs to be addressed and then publicly changed.

There's a war going on between those that wish to enslave us and a decentralized, anonymous egregore that uses the combined willpower of IT's existence. October 22 through November 5 should provide all sorts of fun for governments around the world. FYI, it's cyber security awareness month.

In a statement released on Monday, WikiLeaks states that Brown is “being persecuted for critical reporting on the growing surveillance state” and that his prosecution “chills investigative reporting of national security issues and provides cover for the unholy alliance between government agencies and the security industry.” The Dallas, Texas-based writer—who contributed to The Guardian, Huffington Post, and Vanity Fair, among other outlets—now faces up to 105 years in prison on charges that are crucially related to his reporting.

Anonymous "spokesperson" under arrest after anti-FBI video

Notice the background?

In early 2011, when I began working out of the Anonops server in support of OpTunisia and then other matters, Project PM (the chief venue of which was simply an IRC channel on the Freenode server) became an extension of those efforts. Eventually it fell to the wayside as I became more heavily involved with Anonymous itself.

A few months later, as a number of us continued to investigate the large mass of information that had stemmed from the HBGary hack, we turned Project PM into our shared venue/banner and re-purposed it into an informal association that would do two things:

(1) disseminate information about the intelligence contracting industry and what is now being increasingly termed the “cyber-industrial complex,” including specific firms/outfits known to be involved in one or more of certain activities we oppose, and (2) provide whatever support possible to other parties that wish to pursue these issues.

The first objective is carried out in a number of ways, but chiefly through our wiki, Echelon2, which serves as a repository of info on the subjects we deal with, or by providing tips to journalists and other activists on those subjects. We now work chiefly out of an IRC server, irc.project-pm.org, in one main channel called #projectpm.

He is nothing short of a hero for helping bring to light the actions of Stratfor, it is true we did not and continue to not pay enough attention to this brave man.

Thank you for sharing this, also thank you to you Eisegesis for sharing those links, the criminality involved with these companies is something we all need to be aware of.

If we don't push to expose the injustices and culling of our planet, by people less than human, who don't care about humanity, but instead care about controlling the masses in such a way that they have slaves.

There is a push to use debt as a means of slavery, there are much more issues that we must face and stand up against, in order for true equality and justice to ring free, not just here, but everywhere.

Honestly, by the lack of interest, in this thread, all your privacy is belonging to them...

Can't teach the world to care about crap they don't know to care about.

They seem like they will willingly just give over everything,

Stop reading this thread id you are, go buy your Amazon Key rig and start allowing the world into your home,

You're doing the same, by not caring.
