LOL ... you think an opinion piece by Andrew McCarthy in National Review is something “coming to light”?

Hoo boy.

Do you remember me showing you that the US imports 83% of its uranium from other countries? And about 25% from Russia and Kazakhstan? Or that we’ve been trading enriched uranium to the Russians since the early 90s for spent nuclear material from their decommissioned missiles?

This “20% of national uranium production” was ALREADY SOLD to the Canadian company!

Yet, you and others keep rushing to swallow this lure ... I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

And don't hold your breath that any Obama investigation is getting underway it's a pipe dream.

As we've seen with the wasteful Trump-Russia investigation(s), they never start out that way. They start by looking at lower-level people and attempting to work their way up the ladder.

Obama is not the INITIAL target.

But Unlike the Trump-Russia fishing expedition, the odds of uncovering law-breakers amongst Obama's people, are infinitely better.

They all feel left out with Muller investigation.

They need their own thing, so they're forced to just make up whatever they can.

Too bad the house oversight committee hasn't said so huh? Only some person saying they are. They aren't. And Fox ?

Maybe. Personally I think they’ve decided that governance is just too hard.

Since they can’t get anything done on the legislative agenda, they’re going back to the only thing they think they’re good at ... half-baked political theatre.

Too bad there's not really an investigation. Has this been announced by the committee? No . It's rumored by some Fox talking heads and that it. And Fox just gets it wrong all the time.
Remember judge Napolitano telling you all last year how it was certain Hillary was going to be indicted?

House and Senate are going to “investigate.” They’re realizing that Trump is bringing the whole party down fast.

This is all they have left, which tells you how desperate the situaiton is for them.

Of course you have to remember that some of our friends here think that the guy who actually said:

You know what uranium is, right? It’s this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things. But nobody talks about that.”

... is the greatest President of all times.

Rather than make you "work", by referring you back to the 1st Post of this thread, I'll correct your erroneous belief by pasting excerpted text from the referenced article:

The House Oversight committee has started looking into an Obama-era deal in which a Russian-backed company bought a uranium firm with mines in the U.S., Rep. Ron DeSantis told Fox News on Sunday, adding that he’s spoken with the federal government’s “confidential informant” on the matter.

The Senate Judiciary Committee last week said it started an investigation into the matter, including whether federal agencies knew the FBI was looking into possible corruption before the deal was approved.

This article does a good job of "connecting the dots" and explains why there are an increasing number of calls for a Special Counsel to unravel, fact-find, and get to the bottom of this Uranium One Scandal.

Mueller is moving on to democrats as well,i knew nothing good for the democrats were going to come with pushing this russia narrative. Im beginning to think this russia thing was pushed to avoid Trump investigating Hillary. And well it worked but looks like they pushed it to far and Mueller has made some connections as well. Currently most of it seems to be smoke. Problem is the smoke is leading them to the fire. Nothing may come of this but more information has come out bout Hillary then Trump at this point. Im hoping for a two for. I would love to see democrats and republixcans go to jail. It be like getting a fresh start dont youthink?

Well seeing as how the OP is lying about the details of the probe and calling it criminal in nature, why would the media report on a lie?

How is the OP a lie?

I am willing to listen to your evidence. So far you are a toothless wonder.

A probe isn't a criminal investigation.

Yeah, they investigated Benghazi 8 times. Found the same thing each time.

No wrongdoing.

I'm glad to see you've realized where the source for the supposed "Uranium One Scandal" is sourced from at least ... kind of embarrassing for you to call The Hill a liberal publication trying to defend Clinton ... when that was the source of this garbage to begin with. It's good you don't have to worry about credibility issues, eh?

So lets' review:

John Solomon and Alison Spann write a repetitive set of articles last week dredging up the "Uranium One" deal from six years ago. Octogenarian Senator Grassley (seemingly still stuck in the Cold War era) picks up the ball and totters down the field by utilizing a Jeff Sessions visit to Capital Hill to mouth off the same tired old BS about Uranium One, Hannity picks it up again claiming it's the "biggest scandal of our time," National Review parrots the whole mess yesterday ... and dutiful down-streamers copy paste and propagate.

This is nothing more than classic RW Echo Chamber BS.

Personally, I look forward to more interminable PUBLIC investigations as all this will accomplish to ever more clearly demonstrate that the GOP has ZERO ability to govern and is only interested in partisan claptrap just in time for the 2018 midterms.

Not that the Democrats will be any better when they take back the Senate and possibly the House ... but at leas they're just stupid rather than stupid and dishonest.

a reply to: Justoneman>>> it wuld be nice to see the Podestas thrown under the bus for this, although certainly the Clintons should go down with them. Of course, Mueller's been exposed as being compromised as much as Comey was so we can only hope for a real investigation, not a sham like with Hillary's emails. And if the Podestas and Clintons get off lightly over this, they're still better off than being sent to Death Row over the ( never debunked) Pizzagate scandal. Which is what they may be hoping for.... they get nailed for this and maybe the real crimes they're guilty of will be overlooked once they no long have any presence or future in politics.

Mueller hasn't been "exposed" in any way.

The only thing Comey did wrong was try to do his job.

There's nothing here to "nail" anyone on, least of all Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Pizzagate was not only debunked but repudiated by Alex Jones it's main proponent.

Congratulations though ... you managed to barf up just about every fringe theory left in the RW arsenal of unmitigated crap.

Okay, let's try a different approach.

Aside from just parroting Fox and the rest of the RW Echo Chamber ... let's see what some of you really know about the issue.

You think Hillary Clinton (Bill Clinton, Obama Administration at large) is going to be found guilty of breaking some law(s) right?

What laws exactly do you think anyone has broken in regard to the Uranium One Brouhaha?

So Obama himself was involved? The fat lady is warming up!

Yeah, and when that footage first surfaced people pn team Obama basically called crazy anyone who thought it disconcerting. It was all a ploy to keep him from getting re-elected. Bah! And so the fat lady has indeed picked up the tuning fork and started clearing her throat. The question now is, will she go on stage? Doubtful, but here is hoping.

You know, the really funny part in this to me is the level of cognitive dissonance necessary to maintain the worldview in which

A) Russia is our dangerous enemy that somehow got access to our uranium compromising national security (in some non-existent undisclosed manner) YET AT THE SAME TIME

B) Russia is a great potential ally that Mr. Trump has been cagey enough to cultivate a relationship with (through various means like collusion between his campaign and Russian agents.)

I guess for our friends it's a simple two-way switch:

Russia bad if Democrats are involved

Russia good if Trump is involved

Yet, it's still the same Russia that already owned a 40% stake in Uranium One (which already owned the uranium mines), it's the same Russia we buy a good amount of the 83% of imported uranium from, it's the same Russia we have been trading ENRICHED URANIUM to for low-grade material from decommissioned warheads since the 1990s ...

The same Russia that the RW media has been claiming that Democrats are ridiculously obsessed with ... it's the same Russia that they've been desperate to convince us are really our friends ...

At some point it's so ludicrous you have to laugh.
