That's not the call in question. That's Natasha De Alencar, the widow of Staff Sgt. Mark R. De Alencar.

And here you are blathering about the media lying and liberals/leftists.

Also, while I'm at it. Donald Trump lied. He lied about what he said. Kelly confirmed as much.

I can only imagine that when the call in question comes out, you would be eating crow, but you won't. What is so bizarre here is any person that ever served in the military is quite aware of the phrase, "you know what you signed into" and all other variations of it. If anything, all of you making hay of this are only showing your utter ignorance of the people who serve and live in our military.

That Simpsons monorail song was a very poor analogy to this subject.

At 3:32, is someone giving the middle finger to the phone? I paused it but couldn't tell.

Actually it is someones index finger and they are pointing out she was receiving an incoming call.

I think it's very apt. Both are selling BS.

So, Mrs. Johnson (both of them) should not have been offended and Trump has no reason to apologize.

He lied. Or was it Kelly who lied? Hard to keep track with this bunch.

This phone call you posted has zero to do with the phone call trump had with Myeshia Johnson. The media has not lied about this as you said. Also the Media has nothing to do with what the Congresswoman and Mrs Johnson are saying. The phone call you posted took place long before this.

Have a parade for trump, it still doesn't change all of the disrespectful things the man has said and done. Including the phone call that took place with Myeshia Johnson.

First off — I'm not "making hay" out of anything involving the call but if you want, I will?

I find the whole thing rather disdainful, starting with Trump politicizing calling families of fallen soldiers on Monday, whe he lied, saying that Obama and past presidents hadn't made calls to families. In typical Trump form, he made some s# up to pat himself on the back because that's just the kinda douche bag he is.

So right off the bat, he lied and he is the one who politicized the whole thing from the start.

The next day, he hurried and made a call. I don't believe that he intended to come off insensitive to Sgt. Johnson's widow. He's got an odd way of phrasing things when he's speaking off the cuff.

That said, I don't expect to be eating any crow. Wilson, who was asked to be there as a family friend (she was also apparently Sgt. Johnson's elementary school principal), has had her account backed up by both Sgt. Johnson's mother and in fact, Gen. Kelly's own statement yesterday.

What to know about Frederica Wilson, Florida Democrat who criticized Trump

The fallen soldier’s mother, Cowanda Jones-Johnson, told the Associated Press Wednesday that the congresswoman’s account was correct.

White House confirms Trump told soldier's widow 'he knew what he was getting into' before saying it was 'totally fabricated'

"He was doing exactly what he wanted to do when he was killed. He knew he was getting into by joining that one percent. He knew what the possibilities were because were at war when he died he was surrounded by the best men on this Earth, his friends," Mr Kelly said he advised the President to say.

Donald Trump lies compulsively. I honestly don't know if he can control himself.

funny, I was raised to never pass judgement on others I have never even met you but your statements are just wrong, most unstable people don't quit the day job to run for Pres, He has hired more women and promoted more women than most organizations, (public info) he is married to an immigrant, not sure how you get anti-lgbt but I would bet you have a closed mind on so many things due to the brainwashing you talk about....
hope you have a great weekend pondering how you can be better at positivity and drop the negative BS

Question, did the other POTUS do that?

So, let's say the others did. What difference does that make. The only thing making most of you angry is that there is finally a president that doesn't bow down and say he is sorry for things he shouldn't have to say he is sorry for.

You have been getting "I'm sorry for ________." out of so many people for so long that you have come to savor it. It whets your appetite. You are hungry for the sorry, because once it comes then you know that you can start cornering your prey. You can start whittling away at any legitimacy and start preening others in the understanding that you are the ones that dictate human interactions. And in dictating human interactions it gives you a smug sense of control.

And this is why you pick every single thing, every utterance from him as some sort of high crime - because you can't get him to step ONE of your "rehabillitation".

She should apologize to Trump for what exactly? Trump should apologize to the American people for being a lying PoS. He should apologize to Wilson for falsely accusing her of lying too.

In fact, as much as I respect Gen. Kelly for his service and his family for the loss of one son in service to our nation and the service of another, I don't believe that his attack yesterday was either useful or appropriate.

What seems to be lost here is that Donald Trump having good intentions and Sgt. Johnon's family honestly perceiving his statement as insensitive are not mutually exclusive. In fact, we have a word for it — miscommunication.

The fact remains however, that one person in this story lied multiple times and that person is the POTUS. He also happens to be the one to initially politicize the solemn act of presidents reaching out to the families of fallen soldiers.

Kelly insinuated some sort of heinous wrong doing on the part of Wilson because she happened to be present during the call. Guess what? So WAS HE and from reports, he wasn't the only one present when Trump made the call. Wilson was with the family at the family's invitation.

It's also quite regrettable that he made the entire spectacle about bashing Wilson without any real consideration that I could take away for Sgt. Johnson's widow, his mother, etc. Furthermore, he made reference to some bull# golden era when women were respected, blah blah blah — but is somehow willfully ignorant that in the time he's speaking of, the target of his attack was attending a segregated school. How much respect do you think she was getting as a black female in the "good ole days?"

Not one mention of Sgt. Johnson or his grieving family but he made sure to complement the President as "brave" for making a phone call.

Yeah, the more you talk, the more I mull the situation over, the more I feel that maybe it's not just Trump who owes some apologies.

Huh? You're so stuck on his stupid persona that you're projecting nonsense on people who aren't. What part are you not getting here?

He lies constantly. They flow from his lips and Twitter fingers in an unceasing flood. I'm all for somebody with balls who speaks frankly. Trump is a clown who can't stop himself from lying and what's worth, his lying is often tied to his pathetic need to congratulate himself.

Five more kids without a dad now because the Intelligence Community just has to run the global heroin trade, and the MSM wont do their job in exposing it for what it is.

You cant even be an honest politician in this country because everyone EXPECTS to be lied to; they yearn to have their perception manged, their information spun, the candidates groomed by our elite masters, the talking points spiffy short and homogenized, they dream of being told what they want to hear over what they need to know; etc.

I admire your pragmatism though. I'm going to go deep into your gauntlet of old threads and read all the screaming and ranting about Obama and Hillary, the MSM, the CIA, the Pentagon, and so on all being professional liars to their core. There has to be like hundreds of pieces about all that in there all these years you've been here.......
