You know who Wilson is right (cannot miss those hats) ? She is the same person who said Trayvon was hunted like a dog. She is a grandstanding race baiter and will guarantee this becomes racial within 24 hours. That is the end game here. He should call her ass out.

Trump is a disgusting embarrassment to the United States Military - Did you know that he saved the Veterans Day Parade in NYC? One of the largest of its kind it was almost lost due to poor funding and liberal ideals. It is still here because of his love for veterans. Not sure how he is an embarrassment....

Because of "liberal ideals"????

You appear to have a mental malfunction. Can you support that claim?

Trump promised 200k to the Veterans Parade in NYC in 1995..IN EXCHANGE FOR HIM BEING DECLARED THE GRAND MARSHALL.

Classic Trump...A draft dodger demanding to be Grand Marshal of the Veterans Day parade in exchange for money.

It's like a micro-example of his future as a hypocrite and narcissist.

and here come the insults. So, i have a mental malfunction. Ok.

Veterans Day Parade archived...

www.upi.com...

Organizers, who placed the turnout at closer to a million, said the parade would not have been a success if it hadn't been for real estate developer Donald Trump, who contributed $200,000 and raised another $300,000.

'Donald Trump saved the parade,' said parade director Tom Fox, himself a Vietnam veteran. 'We had asked for donations from 200 corporations, and none of them came through,' he said.

'This donation is the single most important thing I've ever done,' said a beaming Trump. 'This is more important than all of my buildings and my casinos. This is my way of saying thank you to all the men an women in the armed services who have made it possible for me to become a success. Without them freedom and liberty would be gone.'

Yeah, he sure sounds like he hates the military.

President Trump was acknowledging to the widow how brave her husband was. That affirmation is spoken at every funeral for policemen, soldiers, firefighters, all across America, when they are killed in the line of duty.

The major difference between this statement from Trump and all other affirmation/eulogies is the others actually use the persons name and the word bravery/heroic/they died doing what they loved, protecting others etc... instead of just making it sound like 'shouldn't have married a soldier crybaby, what's his name again?' I couldn't be arsed reading it'.

Surely even the most ardent Trump fan acknowledges Trump has no tact or rhetorical skills whatsoever. This is a disturbing example the 'commander in chief' doesn't have the respect/social skills to do basic things like read the name of one of his soldiers before calling their widdow. He makes Dubbya seem articulate.

He was. The police shot him down like he was a rabid dog. He was neither.

Actually, he was not shot by police but glad you think that was the narrative. He attacked a Neighborhood Watch person and was shot in the process. A sad situation but nothing criminal.

This "effen Moron" as his own SOS describes him has no business being Commander and Chief.

Disgusting.

Sure he does. He was elected fairly.

He was elected. That is a fact. As far as "fairly", it is worth noting that there are Multiple GOP led congressional investigations and a special counsel appointed by his own administration investigating the "fairly" part.

So what you are saying is that he was elected fairly, and there is nothing official (i.e., beyond conjecture) that would say otherwise?

Thank you for that affirmation.

Being stonewalled by the whitehouse who are making a spurious claim of privacy (despite Trump posting lies about this on twitter,) - it's basic 'damage limitation' that proves even the whitehouse admit he screwed up, badly, the way he's handled this whole thing.

You are talking about something that has nothing to do with my comments.

First, whether they are lying abou ttheir opinions that Trump was disrespectful is something that I not only cannot state, but its also something that is impossible to state. They are their opinions. The only thing factual or truthful about them is that they are their opinions.

Beyond that, the lie is the lie by ommission by the news outlets and the congresswoman who seem to want to omit the second half of Trumps statement. That is the lie, as removing that removes the context for what he said.

The congresswoman decided to politicize his death. These people...who knows. Looks to me like a mom that is angry that her son died (as all moms tend to be when their sons die), and a wife so stricken with grief she can't say anything. Then you have that bloodsucking politician there stirring her own agenda into the pot.

RE this:

Or perhaps they were just so thoroughly enraged by the sociopathic manner in which Trump grudgingly made the call after being goaded and forced to by the press questioning him yesterday as to why he had not done that yet?

I had a good chuckle at this. Not with you, but at you.

Why are you editorializing this? You are putting motives behind Trumps actions when you don't know. You just made that up wholesale right there. "Grudgingly"? What, were you on the couch in his office while he bitched about having to call them?

LMAO

The only difference between this one and the others: there was a democratic congresswoman present when he called this family. And she wasn't about to let that coincidence go to waste.

Why can't we attack him for the truly screwed up things he does? Like, not doing anything he was elected to do?

Obama would have every name memorized to ensure his pristeen public appearance, but when it comes to running the nation, his brain power was all used up on all that eloquence you ppl love to eat out of his hand like peanuts.

What I do need, as an American, is the entire story...absent someone else's political agenda attached to it. Why? Because when you get only half the information, it directly impacts your ability to make choices based on your own free will versus having the will of others imposed upon you. It is lying by omission.

If someone in my daily life lies to me by omission, I don't take too kindly to that...because I'm forced to make decisions based on what I trust to be the entire story, when if I actually did have that, my reaction and therefore my decisions would likely take quite a different path.

People in daily life who do that insidious crap deserve to be called out on it in a concise, deliberate manner because if that doesn't happen, all the people who believe the lie will be so busy clamoring and reacting to it that they will no longer care about the truth that was omitted. It will be lost in the mix, and the truth should never be lost. That's what got us to this point in the first place.

Is some entity stopping you from perusing the wide gamut of political and news information available? It sounds like you're railing against news for being entirely one sided, but that would seem to be a disingenuous claim when just about everyone here can name several contravening information sources (regardless of which side you start). If you don't believe the news your reading, does that mean its not true?

So far, I haven't been "railing" against anything. I was directly responding to another member's direct reply to me, with regard to a very specific scenario where the entirety of the information has not been presented, and which is a clear attempt to manipulate the emotions of the people with whom it is being shared on this site.

To say my statement is disingenuous is to say that I am being insincere, and I assure you, I am utterly sincere. I used an example of daily life because lying by omission really is a thing, and it is done for no other reason than to sway a person's judgement in a very specific way. I don't care who does it; someone in my own life or in the media or whatever...it is wrong.

I personally will take the time to research information rather than simply take things at face value, but not everyone out there will. That's how people get manipulated into acting on something that they might not have done, had they been in possession of all the available facts.

People who use lying by omission as a way of manipulating others into thinking or acting a certain way know that most people out there, with their busy lives and all the demands on their energy and time, are easy and gullible marks...and that's why they do it. We live in a world where the news has highlights and summaries that encourage busy, distracted people not to bother reading any further. If you think that is accidental, think again.

The news is almost always reported from outlet to outlet in a one-sided fashion. You'd have to be living under a rock your whole existence not to be aware of that. If they want to give all of the available information and then use their own journalistic skills to flavor that information in a way that supports their own opinion on the matter, then I would say they're doing precisely what they are supposed to do.

However, that is not what is being discussed here. If it were simply spin, there would be nothing to discuss. Instead, we've got people out there omitting part of the available information and presenting the abbreviated version of events as if it were the only information. I am not OK with that, particularly when it directly contributes to an ongoing, blatant vendetta against a sitting US President, which isn't hurting him one little bit, but is tearing our nation apart. Dividing us into factions.

That is not responsible reporting. That's not even irresponsible reporting. It is a deliberate lie by omission, for the purpose of pushing a political agenda, carried out by people for the specific purpose of attempting to undermine and subdue the current leader of my country. And as an American, I am not OK with that, regardless of whether I personally like him or not.

Quoting out of context is a great propaganda ploy. It gives an air of accuracy while still suppressing the truth.

Exactly.

According to Kelly and others in the room Trump was respectful.

All you have to do is look at Trumps actions towards the military he loves them.
