A .22 requires a surgically placed shot that a larger caliber would work for as a more traumatizing attack to a greater mass target.

Maybe people have to agree on the meaning of the terms before discussing:

Assault:

1. a. A violent physical attack, as with blows.
b. A strong or cutting verbal attack.

2.
a. A military attack, such as one launched against a fortified area or place.
b. The concluding stage of an attack in which close combat occurs with the enemy.

I'm guessing introvert went with 1 and you and cav can't help but think in terms of number 2.

NO you DID NOT do that at at all in CONUS.
WE BOTH DID with a .223 WHICH IS THE DIFFERENCE here,ENTIRELY, between a .22 firing REPLICA and a supposed assault weapon
