Is it something like that even legal ? I am asking as a non USA citizen. For me it´s just strange that people can go in such lengths, especially when in concerns the current president of USA. I get that people do not like the current President but to go in so far its crazy at least.

That's a way better deal than info that can implicate Hillary.

He fought for that right, and almost lost his life for it.
He preserves the right for you or anyone else to be disgusting and to offend through publication.

He protected the first amendment rights of everyone in this country.
