Assuming this video isn't a hoax...
If this was a "nuts and bolts" craft, surviving a lightning strike is no great sweat. It happens to planes all the time, and rarely causes anything
above superficial damage. (Example video here.)
But for my money, this is a rare example of a situation when that old cop-out of the UFO debunkers seems like it might be correct - this is ball
lightning. A ball-shaped light-source in the sky during a thunder-storm? Ball lightning is very rare, but it's a good fit with the circumstances.
