The law is the law. Isn't that the song y'all sang throughout the 2016 elections? But also, your hyperbole is wrong. I pay about $110 a month for health insurance and my work covers my deductible.

That's exciting. If you can't go through, find a way over or around. Glad they aren't giving up

The President is demonstrating what is foreign to so many elected officials..LEADERSHIP.

Many of us have sent over a hundred messages to the White House and key Senators asking for help. If you make over $40K and have to buy ObamaCare, you're screwed.

From 2013 to 2017 Illinois ObamaCare premiums went up 165%! 40% of the state's physicians no longer accept ObamaCare patients. $14,300 husband/wife deductible. 2018 there will only be 2 companies selling ObamaCare coverage in the Chicago area.

Millions of hard working middle/upper-middle class Americans will be THRILLED once the details come out, later this week. Unlike the formaldehyde-pickled swamp creatures in Congress, President Trump listens and ACTS!

if you make over 40 grand a year....you DO NOT have to buy into the ACA. assume the responsibility of buying it on your own....it doesn't matter any more anyway, soon you won't have to worry about it, the republicans and trump are starving the program of funds, so you will have plenty of time to bitch about it for the next year or so. tell me when the last time the republicans ever tried to help people get health insurance?.....in fact, when is the last time republicans have helped out the poor or middle class with anything that they cannot afford?........

Finally.. This is great news, but I am sure the usual suspects will be in here shortly to tell us all how bad it is.

Because Trump did it.

nope, just waiting for the details to see how good it's going to be, since those "details" seem to have been left out...how convenient....but you keep celebrating the "great news"

Rand Paul has some decent ideas about creating huge health pools.

But he’s too libertarian and therefore delusional and dogmatic

As if capitalism will magically make things right---voodoo economics

The sick, the poor, and those who want the government to coddle them, can stay with ObamaCare. It's not going anywhere.

Trump's executive order are for those who treasure their freedom, and have the intelligence to choose well.

how simplistic....let's just have the poor and stupid put out into the street so they can quickly die.....we already have many homeless people now, what would a few more million matter

Because they've weaponized themselves with laws to secure their positions, and WHY we hired a guy who wasn't ONE.
The party WHO CAN perform self security (RINOs) weren't prepared for an outside win either, So the tactic is circumvention and exposure so we can vote them out as fast as possible.

Thank-you for sharing your (miserable) experience with the unAffordable Care Act, Gothmog. Unless your income is low enough to get the "Cost Sharing Reduction" benefit, ObamaCare is now expensive "junk".

Just junk. And always has been as this was several years ago....
It is working as designed

Good for you, Krazysh0t! You'll also find that your employer is paying most of your premium too.

Schumer and Trump will ensure that ObamaCare is funded properly to take care of the sick, the poor, and the working-poor in the short term.

In the next 2 years, those populations will need to be folded into the Medicare system, along with the Seniors. ObamaCare's overall structure started coming apart at the seams in 2015. It won't last much longer, at current funding levels.

President Trump needs to step up his attacks and exposure of the RINO's. Most of them can be replaced next November.

Senator Ron Paul and President Donald Trump began working together in late August to remedy this tragedy.

Ron Paul? I did not see him mentioned in the article. Where did you get that info from?

And this is page 3 and no one has brought this up yet?

I've heard Rand's dads name, RON Paul, for so many years, that I sometimes short-circuit.

At any rate, here is what RAND Paul said today about his brain-child...the Executive Order that Health and Human Services (HHS) is putting the finishing touches on.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that he has been working with President Trump for months on a health-care executive order.

Tweet: "This will be a great plan & a big deal for millions of Americans. I’ve been working with @realDonaldTrump for months on this," Paul wrote on Twitter. "Details soon!"

The one thing that I am most thankful to Obama for is the markedly INCREASED usage of executive orders to bypass a hostile US Congress.

Great precedent. For now at least ... if used for the common people like this current health insurance 'adjustment'. *cough*

And now, we have a more maverick and non-compliant individual as President, as long as other people (such as Rand Paul who I admire) help him, that maybe can use it to its better / best extent for the people.

How much healthcare reform can we get through executive orders?

This is surely something.

I hope it is used for good, and not evil

go go go!!

Executive Order will be signed/issued tomorrow morning...

President Trump will sign an executive order on Thursday morning aimed at taking action on health care, after Congress's failure to repeal ObamaCare.

The order will ease rules on small businesses banding together to buy health insurance, through what are known as association health plans, and lift Obama administration limits on short-term health insurance plans, according to a source on a call with administration officials Wednesday night.

The order will direct the Department of Labor to "modernize" rules to allow small employers to create association health plans, the source said. Small businesses will be able to band together if they are within the same state, in the same "line of business," or are in the same trade association.
Source: thehill.com...

Allowing the non-ObamaCare Short Term Health Insurance to last up to 365 days will be HUGE for relatively healthy people who make too much money to qualify for ObamaCare Subsidies/Tax-Credits.

These plans were siphoning from, or keeping, so many people away from ObamaCare, that the Obama administration issued an order in November 2016, stating that as of April 30, 2017, these health plans couldn't last longer than 3 months, and couldn't be renewed. The intent was to force healthy middle and upper-middle income people to buy ObamaCare.

Millions of Americans are now on these plans. They will breath a huge sigh of relief when President Trump signs the Executive Order tomorrow, because they can now renew, or buy a new one that will last a full year, instead of just 3 months.

From the WhiteHouse, here is a summary of what today's Executive Order is designed to accomplish:

Good stuff for people going through ObamaCare hell, or are priced out of that failing market.

Right from the source, here is what a Presidential Executive Order that enables FREE MARKET competition looks like.
www.whitehouse.gov...

Not pages and pages of rules, restrictions and industry mandates. A thing of simplistic beauty that enables FREEDOM.

Great job Mr. President and Senator Paul!

Let's hope the U.S. Congress will fix ObamaCare for the working-poor and/or Chronically Ill Americans who need a healthy ObamaCare. It's in very bad shape, with almost no health insurance companies participating, along with 40% of U.S. doctors and 25% of U.S. hospitals no longer taking ObamaCare patients. In 3 short months, the situation will be even more dire.
