Lol!!! I love good food but am only amateur when it comes to prep.
I have a few wonderful recipes and the rest... pretty basic.
But be sure I read them, and lend my anonymous support

At least I saw the cookbook (very useful thread!) and food porn

Great pics, my friend.

Sad the Carribean copped it recently.

Our own Whitsundays ( Great Barrier Reef ) also saw destructive 200mph. winds in a massive cat 5 just a few months back ... it seems there is climate change affecting our world with worse to come.

ETA: Nice thread Zos !

Reminds me of the pristine waters of far Nth. Queensland.

We do live on a beautiful diverse planet !

Thank you Timely!

Sorry to hear about the damage close to your home. Especially the kind that sounds irreversible (against Gret Barrier Reef). At least the forest (not talking about the tragic loss of life) can regenerate after a fire.

Let's hope the worst is not to come. The future is unknown, so maybe it's a LOT nicer than we're thinking (lol- I can be an annoying optimist at times).

Lol! It's quite the gear, I agree! (But worked like a charm
) My friends and I took a snow machine out to a remote cabin in an already remote village, making angels in the snow at night, passing a wine bottle back and forth and watching the Nothern Lights dance

Ah, memories

The ones we saw were white- no color at all- but wavy and gauzy and wonderful. Lovely to see the stars through and around the lights. Absolutely an experience to have.

Speaking of places to visit, New Zealand is awesome.

Beautiful greenery with gorgeous mountain backdrops along with the cultural experience of traditional Maori life. Not to mention the geothermal activity on the North Island ( Rotorua in particular ) is highly recommended.

You can also visit the lord of the rings location at Matamata ( Hobbiton ) they have still got some of the hobbit homes still there next to the merry tree !

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far! And thank you also to Augustus, who encouraged me to post my pictures. This thread has been great fun for me.

Stay tuned for more pictures!
