Never mind, for some reason the member I was reviewing included an additional / in the /mem//(member name) URL and that throws the query for a 6...

so:
www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/mem//(member name)&list=posts

still worked, but resulted in:

www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/mem/(thread ID/(post ID)

lol, don't know how the extra / got there.. but it's user related. Somewhere between the chair and the keyboard I think..

And broken it.

Sometimes viewing a members posts from their profile is a good way to see what they think.

Why would one want to do that?

I've just checked on my own profile and yours, and clicking on a post still leads to the post. What has broken?

I often check past posts (one way or the other) if an unfamiliar member turns up on one of my threads. If it's not immediately obvious from the first contribution, I may be trying to gauge which "side" he is likely to be on.

We're evil stalkers who like to snoop on people to catch them in their tracks.

or when you get a friend U2U, you wonder what they posted that you agreed with!

No, it turns out when I put the user name into the URL to view their profile, for some reason it added an additional / in the url.

Snap, and here I was thinking there was perhaps a reason the forums have been laggy the past few days.

As do I. nothing sinister. I was just checking. Or if someone mentions an old member who I recall, some posts are interesting to see. I still miss Cheesy..

Edited my OP to endure the shame of a broken pair of eyeballs rather than a forum glitch..

I shall retire to an inevitable Sunday morning, I think...

I thought this was going to be about the lack of contrast around here.

When I want to look at a profile, I just click on the little person under their avatar, then click on profile.
I must have been doing it wrong.
