The thing about a "conspiracy" is that the people in charge generally dont make public statements proclaiming their hidden agendas.

This being an obvious exception.

Most of the time, we have to draw our own conclusions regarding the true motives of TPTB.

Without question, there is an agenda to disarm the American people. No doubt about it.

Whether someone drives a truck thru a crowd of people or 50 people are shot over the weekend in any major inner city, the issue is one of violence, not the tool used to commit that violence.

But the causes of violence are NEVER discussed.

The proposed "solutions" are always the same: take away more rights and freedoms.

But no, we hear all the time "nobody is talking about taking away all your guns."

The utter disdain people like this have for law-abiding citizens is palpable.

Because checks and balances prevent them from doing so.
This video just proves that the confiscation mindset does exist with some lawmakers.

Shhhh. That *logic* has no place in an irrational conversation.

Because wanting to do something doesn't always equate to being able to do it.

Now apply that logic to the current situation.

Bam. No more drama.

Why didnt they? Because we the people didnt let them.

But that doesnt stop them from trying.

It took them more than a 100 years to establish a privately owned central bank.

Theyre happy so long a they can continually chip away at our rights regardless of how long it takes.

Although the law makers in the video were very explicit in their desire to do it all at once.

Yeah well......they can wish it all they want, but it's not going to happen just because 3 deranged Dem STATE senators from NJ want it.
The logistics of confiscating guns from everyone in the USA would be a nightmare of epic proportions, let alone the gun owners that would fight back.
There would be standoffs in every city, town and area of the country.

Okay? You're barking up the wrong tree with me. I don't think there's going to be mass gun buybacks and confiscation.

But that's not for lack of desire to do exactly that. Over and over on ATS we see people acting like they can just make guns disappear. There's only one way to do that. Over and over we see people on ATS saying "nobody is talking about taking away your guns." And yet here's an example of politicians doing exactly that.

That's the point here. Taking the stance that "well they haven't been able to do it so far so there's no reason to discuss the fact that despite the protestations we see on ATS, there are those of 'them' that want to do exactly that" is pretty ignorant.

Logic is that if they had the chance they would repel the 2nd amendment and confiscate firearms from lawabiding citizens.

I don't see an across the board confiscation happening anytime soon, as the logistics of it are simply staggering if nothing else.

But as a law enforcement officer what are your thoughts on the mindset of the police in this country if such an order came about? Like going door to door disarming the public?

Again I'm aware it sounds kinda ridiculous at this point, just wondering how willing the front line in that "war on guns" would be to participate.

I seem to remember a few attempts...one in particular for that state was widely ignored after it passed. Pretty sure it had something to do with registering long guns or something like that.

The problem is that if they get their wish and in one state ... say California where the Democrats hold a one party rule in perpetuity. Think of the chaos and damage that could be caused while the issue works its way through the courts and they find out that ... Oops! They couldn't actually do that.

It takes years to reverse something like that, and what kind of damage, death, and destruction could be caused in the meantime?

Does anyone else think that giving a whole load of military grade weapons to the same people who voted for George Bush (twice!) and Trump are probably not the best idea?

Its a bit like letting a wife beater work in a women's refuge.

Sorry but I have to be honest and stand by my convictions on this one.

You lot having carte blanche to own pretty much any killing tool you want with very little in the way of restoration or regulation is dumber than two planks of woods.

Your whole concept of a second amendment is broken, the founding fathers would be rolling in their graves to see the horrible situation your obsession with these tools of death has caused. Over 600 kids killed or injured last year thanks to guns, 600, thats mental! All because the you guys have this irrational fear that the redcoats are going to turn up and ensalve you all or your government is going to turn against you all.

If there were not so many people dying form it, it would be hilarious!

Do you even hear yourself type?

The highest crime rates in the country are concentrated in the inner city areas. They are *not* the people rushing out to vote for W or Trump. In fact, those counties often vote near 100% for people like Obama or Hillary.
