To the OP, the majority of statistically classified 'mass shootings' are in the gang-infested areas where there is zero respect for law or life. They
are usually only briefly reported in the city where they happen because those lives don't matter(/sadirony). As for the high profile cases that
challenge gun rights, Americans know that it doesn't matter if it happens because of some lunatic or a false flag, it is irrelevant to our unalienable
right.
Legislation sells guns, not the NRA. Right now it is bump stocks. They're selling like crazy. 30 round mags, semi-autos, suppressors, ect. have all
been in the spotlight at some time and they all see a rise in price and sales when legislation threatens them.
Another problem with the gun control argument is people only look for that hero scenario when compiling statistics to count as self-defense. The gun
sitting quietly in the nightstand every night that makes 99% of potential intruders think twice never gets counted, even when it has been doing its
job perfectly for years.
Freedom is more important than safety when they come from government.
