It is very strange, sad and so much more to have been witness to this. From being a member on ATS it is a bit surreal as well from all the inconsistencies and anomalies making it very much a conspiracy...

My heart goes out to you both. I understand a little tiny bit, having been in a slightly similar very public situation several years ago. The situation was even covered a bit on ATS, though I wasn't posting then. It is quite surreal, and even overwhelming at times. And the misinformation does not help. I found that taking things slow and easy helps. I wish you both the best.

@abeverage: Thanks for the post! I don't know how I missed this one. It's strange, because I was looking pretty heavily and your post was so timely. I think your photo of the one missing window along with your inspection of the building is a lot more meaningful than the attention it's getting.

I have a couple questions. One for you and your fiance and one more general to the folks at the forum.

1. Did you or your fiance happen to see how many cameras were set up in your rooms/hallways? Part of what stuns me about this event is how utterly covered casinos and their accompanying hotels are with security cameras and how little footage we have on the event.

2. You mention the S.W.A.T. teams and military pointing weapons at civilians and being forced to put your hands up by them. Does anything think that this kind of treatment of the public is HIGHLY out of line here? Were there people getting angry about it? I think it's both horrible treatment of citizens as well as questionable and unwarranted conditioning of the public to accept this sort of behavior.

Wow, I missed this thread completely when you originally posted it. If it hadn't been for seattlerat's post today about the release of bodycam footage I'd have never seen it.
I am so thankful you and your fiance (maybe wife by now?) got out of there relatively physically unscathed. Exhausted but alive! Thank you for sharing your experience. I pray it doesn't haunt you.
