The poor guy is incredulous and probably in deep shock. He's trying to fathom his brother just as much as everyone else. How do you cope with such a thing happening in your family? He wants to distance himself from his brother and quite rightly so. Over the weeks to come his family will probably be scrutinized thoroughly and quite possibly hounded relentlessly by press neighbours etc he could lose friends colleagues and life for him and his family will never be the same, just like his brother's victims families. The brother his family his mother are victims too just in a different way
