Sex is the only thing it is legal to give away but illegal to sell (I think).

Kidneys fall into this category as well.

Are you saying that politicians are prostitutes? I'd have to agree in a way, whoring themselves out to the highest bidder.

As for legalizing prostitution, the men in Congress would not support it because what would that look like to their wives. "You voted to do what??"

Has nothing to do with Congress. Prostitution isn't federally illegal. It becomes a federal issue only when state lines are crossed and the case involves something else illegal (such as underage, slavery, drugs, etc.)

Consensual transactions between two consenting adults should be free from Government interference. That includes prostitution, drugs sales whatever.

Point taken. Unless your rich. Like Steve Jobs, donate 40 mil to a hospital and get bumped to the top of the transplant list.

Weed in Washington, DC is another example. A Republican congressman from Maryland blocked the DC government's ability to regulate the sale of Cannabis. You may posses it, and you can give it away. But, you can't sell it.

Can you trade it for sex?

To be legal, you need to take them out to dinner, buy them some drinks, and then give them some money to help pay their rent. That is called dating.

Because if it were legal it would be called porn. Private prostitution is illegal because it's not traceable or taxable, public prostitution is ok though because it is traceable and taxable. They just don't call it prostitution even though they're still getting paid to have sex.

I have some friends who don't pay taxes for their adult entertainment. They just download it for free from the Internet. And I'm pretty sure that whatever they do with their porn is certainly not public, and it is likely a solo activity.

If it's done on the down-low I'm sure you can.

However, given that prostitution is illegal, I would think that it would still be an illegal activity to trade weed for sex with a prostitute.

Really good question.

"My body, my rules".

Same with drugs etc also.

What harm does it do to anyone else if I get high in my own home?

Are you trying to tell us you have an ad on Backpage?

If you see one for a "Curvalicious Latina" you've been warned.

We could go even further and say that time itself is but a prostitute.

Maybe it is because there are so many victims in the sex trade. Young girls are held and forced into prostituton and ofen given drugs to keep control. It is the root of much of the human trafficking and I am sure People understand the many other crimes involved.

Make prostitution legal, punish those that abuse women and traffic in illegal prostitution.

Prostitution should be voluntary.

Jail the bastards that force rape.

There is a relatively little known loop hole to the prostitution law and it is that you can hire a "lady of the night" to have sex with and not be arrested for it IF you're recording it as a porn...so I've heard lol but yh that's apparently the legal loop hole to doing the dance with no pants with a lady for hire.

In an ideal world people would consume their fix and go to work next morning like nothing, in the real world people get addicted becomes a load to society and risk dying of OD.

Opium really affected China at some point, and I heard America is using a refined form of it with great voracity at the moment.

Should a woman be punished if she has a miscarriage?

Why or why not?

There is no logical reason that prostitution is illegal.

They should allow the women to file as independent contractors and require weekly STD / Drug screenings. It appears to work well in Nevada.

Local government can tax the snot out of it.

It is crazy that you can pay someone to have sex on camera and it is perfectly acceptable, but you can't pay someone to just have sex without the filming.
