You've got it right, 100%.
I was coming to say just what you said. He's not a white supremacist, he's not a nazi, he's not antifa, he's not daesh, he's not tumblr, and he's not 4chan.
So why did he choose a country music festival to attack?

I would suggest the politicizing this tragedy --- even subtly --- is anything but in the best interests of the country. There is an agenda at-work to divide this country and thinking like this just perpetuates it.
I think his girlfriend is part of this puzzle in some way. Very odd that she would check into the room by herself and under her name on September 28th, and then conveniently be somewhere on the other side of the World 3 days later leaving her credit card and the shooter behind in the room to shoot up the festival. Something doesn't add up.

Sharon Judy, a former neighbor, told Florida Today. “First time we ever met him, he handed us the key to the house and said, ‘Hey, would you keep an eye on the house, we’re only going to be here every now and then.’ ”

Does anyone know if she were actually there? You can reserve a room with a credit card and name online. He could have taken her card (or if they split up, and he was distraught), he may have just told her to give him her cards, since they perhaps were being paid by him. And he simply used them to rent a car, rent a room, etc.
