Someone deliberately killing people for ten to fifteen minutes isnt having a breakdown they are operating in a zone or on bloodlust or something but obviously very functional.

ISIS has claimed responsibilty, what a bunch of wankers, this guy had mental health problems.

A guy knocks out 2 large windows in a big vegas hotel and no one goes up to investigate? This really stinks...

Maybe - she was on for 15 minutes, lol. I am going to get her details as they were up on screen.. She was calling into Wolf Blitzer. Blitzer even prompted her... "so you were on the 64th floor looking down... "... "yes", she says. She also has a video that has been posted.

Her name is Meghan Kavalus. She presented her eyewitness statement over the phone like a professional.
She used to work at all places, the Trump National Golf Club.

I don't think it would be that difficult. America is so smug about how secure we are, we don't pay attention to things like a dude taking 12 trips from his car to his room. I remember the week before 9/11, I forgot to take a filet knife out of my carry-on - very sharp, 10" or so blade. Once I got him and unpacked, I thought "Wow.. I made it onto the plane with this!"

We don't expect to be attacked, so we are not prepared for an attack, nor how to watch for one.

if only one of those concert goers had brought a missile launcher!!

the only other result that could have happened if a lot of the concert goers had been armed with guns is that some of them could have panicked, thought they knew where the shots were coming from and opened fire in that directions causing more chaos and death!!

Having stayed there many times...and seeing the windows first hand...I ALWAYS assumed the windows had sensors.

IF...the brother is to believed that shooter was non-political (no political allegiance or affiliation) and non-religious.

He owned a couple of planes from what I read and more than one residence and was retired.
The brother said he was a retired accountant and "played $100 dollar per hand poker".
If he was in significant financial trouble, he would not have had money to gamble with and they said he was gambling during his hotel stay.

My question is where did he get full automatic rifles. His brother said last time he helped him move, he just had a couple of handguns and a long rifle for hunting.

Whoever sold him the weapons he stocked the hotel room with might have insight into his state of mind.

Also...apparently it was one louder boom followed moments later by the pops of the shooting.

He might have blown the window out? With what? Home-made explosives of something else?

Interesting you didn't include it's been reported Paddock had "large transactions" at the casino recently. They're investigating whether they were wins or losses. If they were big losses that would be somewhat relevant wouldn't you say?

I don't believe the 'transactions' are relevant to the shooting itself, as they were recent transactions over the last few weeks? If these transactions were accumulations of debt over a longer period of time, then it could be justified to include them as being part of his motive.

Paddock's recent behaviour implies to me that he had decided to commit this act and then kill himself some time ago. He arrived in Vegas with all his guns, set up a camera so he could watch for police in the corridor, with the probable intent to kill himself before the police could get him. Which of course, is what happened.

I should think the transactions were nothing more than aspects of erratic behaviour, as if he had decided to 'give away' his possessions because he believed at the time that he would no longer need them. How do you think the transactions would affect Marilou Danley if she and Paddock shared finances? If she had left him, perhaps he sought to hit back at her in some way. How long has she been out of the country? Something obviously triggered him, and currently I am thinking in terms of a souring of his relationship?

Let's save the speculation.

It's all just part of living in America. Mass shootings are part of the culture. Guns are part of the culture.

People are outraged and sad for a while then there is a collective shrug of the shoulders and society moves on. "What can you do?"

There have been 274 "mass shootings" in 2017 alone. (I dont know what qualifies as an "official" shooting, aside from the numbers killed or wounded).

The events in Vegas are tragic. They are inevitable. Events like them will continue to happen. Endlessly.

Only when enough people have finally had enough will anything concrete be done.

At this point it seems we are far from such a consensus.

(Cue the canned talking points in 3,2,1...)

I'd say he knocked them out then just started shooting. Also with a loud concert going on, people aren't going to hear a window breaking too well

The evidence can point to whatever they want it to point to if it was indeed staged and I'm not saying it is. But to accept everything exactly as being stated in the first 24 hours is not a good idea especially with the track record of our officials. If he was alone, it's scary to think someone so normal with no signs of this about to happen, it just doesn't make sense that they're saying that this was planned for a long time...so he didn't just snap.

Especially after watching his brother, he was looking very much in shock.

Just seen his brother speak again and he said all was Ok, they just sold some apartments. He says he couldnt even make anything up, there is nothing! This stinks!
