Sounds like it is this video, a 3 min run through dissecting the scaner statement "shots coming from gate 7".

I've also read police reported they were alerted to paddock's room because the gun smoke set off his fire alarm? Is that correct?

i'm thinking this is what their talking about. with out loading it in a movie editor i would say that it's in the last few frames of the 40 sec mark. i can't help but wonder if it might be a cell phone screen or one of them with a light built in coming on and off real fast or moving, i see a lot of phones in the area. i don't have a smart phone or one with a light, just a flip phone that does my needs and is cheap, so i might be wrong.

also i don't or can't see the man they are describing, just the flash.

So at 10:24pm...in that timeline....an officer is requesting that someone goes to the camera room and keep an eye on the 32nd floor, while they also clear floor 29. I thought there were no cameras in the hallways?

it's plain to see that all the cops don't know about the building if you listen to the scanner. just because one of the cops asked doesn't mean they knew about the camera system. one cop called saying the shooter is on the 50th 60th floor. Mandalay only 43 floors

I can agree it is possible that they had no idea if cameras were there or not. But certainly they wouldn't be as confused stating that there was a dead officer on the 32nd floor?

Control reports that Mandalay Bay security confirms shots fired on floors 29 and 32.
Officer reports his team is emerging on the 32nd floor by the “dead officer.”
Officer reports that a security guard on the 32nd-floor has also been shot by the suspect.

I agree, but it is difficult to share with others, what I am talking about on this forum without using words. Do you agree that the officers who were on floors 29 and 32, reporting into control, would be accurately stating a fact of finding a dead officer and a wounded security guard on the 32nd floor?

I notice at :26 -- :32 no shots coming from the hotel area where they say the shots came from.

Can't see any broken windows either.

the dead officer call is at 18:30 mark. then at 18:40 mark he talks about the security officer.

yes and no some people react differently under high stress, as a example eyewitness testamentary is not always reliable, two people can be standing side by side while something happens and see something totally different. cops are not immune to that, no matter how much training and time on the job. when adrenaline kicks in it can cause strange reactions.

I noticed that too, but I don't know if we are supposed to see the shots being fired at that distance, with these cameras and all the light in the area close to the hotel.

That's not surprising, for that we would need either a strong light shining on the hotel façade or the room lights on and the curtains drawn back.

Was listening to broadcastify scanner audio again. They clearly state that they are viewing people and teams via cameras. Right between the 34:00 and 35:00 minute mark. I was listening to HoundHowlies scanner link posted earlier if needed for reference.

Though that link only actually has only 56:32 of actual audio. The rest is blank? At least when I listened to it. Does anyone have anymore complete audio on this? At 54:51 is where the team did an FYI that they were right outside the door to 135! Was hoping to hear more details on this.

Also of curious note was an officer asking for confirmation on whether it is confirmed that there is another third location other than Mandalay Bay and alibaba / Giles? At the 47:00 mark. Maybe confusion on his part...but first I had heard of Alibaba/Giles being referred to having a confirmed shooter.


Edit add: only mention of maintenance man was when they were seekin him to provide the key that locks the elevator bank. They wanted access to the elevator.that was at 41:02-41:12.

Police officers can buy radios that transmit.

They need a permit I think.

Some police carry their own when off duty.

Maybe some of those live calls were transmitted by somebody that had a radio.

It's possible.
