When one fires a gun, under normal circumstances, recoil is controlled by forces applied by the shooter, to steady and control the movement of the gun. However, in the case of someone committing suicide by use of a weapon, that recoil force is not controlled in the same manner. Assuming Paddock was stood up on his feet at the time he shot himself, the recoil of the weapon would have forced his gun hand back away from him, and downward. The shoulder is a joint which permits a high degree of rotation, so as the gun hand progressed back and down away from his face, it would have rotated through the arc permitted by the shoulder joint. It is probable that in this case, the gun fell from his grip at the bottom of that arc, rotation through which would have been accelerated by uncontrolled recoil force, and was propelled backward, to land behind him. Remember, it takes the body a small amount of time to realise it is dead, so to speak, so his grip may only have fully loosened at that point.

As for the placement of his leg, please remember, this is a body under no control of itself, acting in response to physical stresses placed upon it by bullet impact, and muscular spasm as a result of sudden signal loss from its control centre. These things combine to produce some strange, boneless behaviours in the bodies of the very recently deceased. I mean heck, even a person who has only been knocked out can fall in some very strange ways.

Yep i would have thought his head would be blown backwards as in the photo, his hands and the gun blown forwards which should have the gun towards his feet not where it is. I don`t know but that`s what I`d imagine to happen now thinking about it.

You didn't address the clean shells on top of congealed blood.

Tell me how that works, and I might be convinced Brit.

There was this one I saw first:

pix11.com...

"The latest revelation came Tuesday afternoon when police said gunman Stephen Paddock set up cameras inside his hotel suite and in the hallway. Police are not aware whether the devices were transmitting — the FBI is investigating their use — but the Clark County sheriff told reporters he thinks the shooter might have used them to watch for people approaching his room."

Why would you need cameras (notice they used a plural spelling) INSIDE the room, when you had several outside watching the hallways?

... and then there is this: which is really weird:

Their was another article that elaborated on that information further, it from was from ABC. It had a stock image of a security camera wrapped in police tape as the main photo. I saw it on the yahoo front page earlier today. Is there a way to somehow pull the yahoo front page photo from my cache/Temp Internet Files???

Inside the article they had talked about there being an excessive amount of cameras. Two were on food carts OUTSIDE the room, and a number of them were 'INSIDE' the room. It said that the cops were shocked by the amount of cameras. That was like the whole theme of the entire article. It wasn't very long.

I had sent this a friend in a text to discuss because it struck me as being odd. Sorry for the late reply to your question, but as I went to recall the link from our messages and post it for you, the whole thing was GONE/CHANGED, and now as I try and google to maybe find a different one, they all talk about ONE camera in the peephole. It was this very article that spawned the idea that maybe the riffles were being remotely controlled, because we couldn't explain why he had so many cameras. Even the above article mentions the inside cameras as being plural.

I know this is ATS, so I was trying to figure out a way to prove I'm not lying.... and I ACTUALLY did. I sent this same article to my mother on WhatsAPP, so it records the original title of the article. Type the address in, and watch the entire article changes!

That's what the green tape on the table was for.

The alleged photo of his face after death. I'll not link it but it's out there.

Suffice to say it shows him face up with a pool of partially congealed blood around his head. On top of them, Spent rifle shell casings, more than 1.

That one doesn`t ring any alarm bells to me JinMI, it looks like the blood poured out around the casings that were there.

But the revolvers position does, thats IF it was the revolver he used and not the rifle across his left foot.

I'm no professional forensic expert by far

Yep.

So if they're going to 'stage a suicide', they're not going to let it look like a picture perfect suicide? Sloppy clues everywhere?

I would just like to personally thank CBS for bringing us the CSI tv series. Was it not for CSI we would not have had the thousands and thousands of professional CSI investigators. I mean the tv series were quite accurate with the depiction of what happens during crime investigations after all.

I think given the ratio of blood to casing (3.2 grams according to wiki), and it being round, it would roll under such pressure. It did with my loaded round and some water on a mousepad anyway. By no means scientifically accuarate.

ETA: Yes, his foot under the rifle is also odd.

There is one casing that is half enveloped with blood, this would not make it roll, if it was directly side on it I could see your point, but take another look. I`ll take your word mate on your amo water and mouse pad (lol) I know nothing about guns and such.

ETA: Yes, his foot under the rifle is also odd.

But not if that was the weapon he used to shoot himself.

To me it looks like that casing was dropped onto.

So, lets say he used the rifle to do the deed. How on earth did the rifle land on on the bi-pod? Not impossible, mind you, just odd.
