I am sick and tired of all the BS surrounding the national anthem. I don't think I have to go into detail about what's been happening. There might be 3 people in Papua New Guinea that aren't aware of the kerfuffle. So I've decided I'm boycotting the anthem itself. I don't care who's standing, who's sitting, who's smearing Jello on themselves, whatever they want to do. It's not about the protest anymore. It's a political pissing match and I'm not going to play.

Just before kickoff seems like an excellent time to step outside for a smoke. Well, the anthem is done, the smoke smoked it's time for some football. I hope the zebras keep their flags in their pockets and let the players play. That first game was a disgrace. They got as much airtime as the teams.

Damn my TV has excellent picture quality.

So....

Your team starts a pissing match about the national anthem, and as its picking up steam already to the tune of predictions of the end of the league itself... now you're the voice of reason in advocating a total boycott the entire national anthem itself?

What was you'alls goal, of Team Democrat Talking Points, here with the charade? What precisely could be done to bring an armistice, well besides total victory of completely abolishing the national anthem?

O Canada!

I don't demand that you stand for our anthem.

But I wouldn't mind hearing you belt it out: "Oooooh say can you see???"

It's all fun and games until they come to the NHL and insist on boycotting O Canadia.

I am watching the Loins as I type.

I will not allow a few, from my perspective, misguided people who seemed to have jumped on the band wagon of SJW to control this for me.

This will pass, and the facts will come out. Then the conservative R and lib left will go back to the claims of racist this and socialist that. In other words fulfill their goal (and mandate) of keeping the public at each other's throats.

So no, I am not boycotting the NFL.

I'm not a liberal let alone a Democrat but I thank you for pointing out why I'm doing this. I couldn't have done it this easily.

People seemingly forget that Trump successfully sued the NFL for being a monopoly. Trump was an outspoken owner of the New Jersey Generals that competed in the spring (NFL off season). Trump went against the general census of other USFL owners, and was awarded a grand total of $3 when asking for $1.2 billion. It was soon thereafter that the USFL folded, and Trump was forced to eat the investment made into the USFL.

Trump seen a weakness within the NFL, has the platform to make a stir, and successfully enacted revenge on the NFL for what happened with the USFL. At least that's the way I see it...

Only in America will you find pro athletes serving politics while on the clock for another job, and at the same time politicians are directing a business' narratives while on the job of politics.

Its sad to see American mentalities switch from 'Not In My Back Yard' to 'Don't Allow Anything I Am Sensitive To Anywhere Near Us'.

I'm pretty sure I've seen you all over the go Hillary (evil mass murderous war criminal), SJW rahrahrah, you Americans need to have open borders, go globalism, around here the past year plus. Pretty sure back in the day when the neocon's loathed me called me a liberal everyday for calling out their insanity, you used to dig that.

If that wasn't you and I'm mistaken then I apologize.

But I'm pretty sure we both know I'm not mistaken.

I couldn't care less about an anthem at a sports match.
Usually my loo break or I go for hotdogs.

Go the Swans!

Oh NFL right.

Same applies. Couldn't care less.

In Canada they are trying to make the anthem gender-neutral.

I actually enjoy watching an All Blacks Haka.

It has nothing to do with hot Maoris doing a seksi warrior dance. Nothing at all.

Or, what about the angle that NFL players stayed in the locker room for the anthem prior to 2008. There's also been millions of dollars spent by the DOD & National Guard(taxpayers) between the years 2010 and 2014... paying for and buying patriotism.

Shouldn't full disclosure of who funds military propaganda in private sectors of business be met at stadiums? I was then and I am still a born American Patriot... I never really needed or even want paid patriotism to exist at the expense of taxpayers. I'd much prefer we keep state affairs and private affairs separate.

Notice we weren't seeing protests and protests of protests prior to 2009?

Again, its just my opinion... but people getting sucked into either side of this irrelevancy are falling for the pushed divide of Americans. If anyone was protesting anthem kneeling prior to 2009, than I eat my words and apologize in advance.
