What's a month on ATS without a doomsday prediction?

Well here's the next one for OCT.

And it comes from a familiar face.

Doomsday Conspiracy Theorist David Meade Won't Let Go of the Apocalypse—Now Says One Billion Will Die

(yahoo.com)-The man who prophesied that doomsday would take place on September 23, and then rescheduled it for October, is now predicting that one billion people will be wiped off the planet when the rapture hits.

David Meade, a Catholic and self-proclaimed “researcher,” predicted that a celestial event, which supposedly took place Saturday, would be a harbinger of the end of the world. The actual apocalypse begins October 15, he wrote on his website earlier this week, marking a seven-year period of tribulation, followed by a millennium of peace.

So here's your monthly doom porn for OCT.

And shortly after the 15th a new date will be set. And after that one comes and goes, another date. And so on and so forth.

It’s got to the point that it feels like they WANT something to happen, just so they can say “I was right!”

I love me some date specific doom porn, especially when we can throw it in the trash heap with the other 798 other predictions that have never come to fruition. But throw enough sh!t against the wall, one day it's gonna stick.

We all sat around Saturday and noticed we didn't get "Raptured".

Then we postulated since only the good die young maybe we better check around the field to see if some of the nicer people were still around. Yep...they didn't get "Raptured" either.

Later around the huge campfire we considered the Rapture may not extend to Appalachia and someone may have to google. But sadly there were no bars for anyone and tossing old picnic tables on the fire and singing took precedence.

It did make for some great conversation tho.

Not if it involves a planet which enters the inner Solar System on a regular basis.

That one will not stick.

See, the last panel should have the guy say; "The end is nearer!"
That would be funnier.

edit on 9/30/2017 by Phage because: (no reason given)

True. I should have qualified that with almost anything else except Nibiru.

The 15th is not convenient, I'd like to reschedule! I'd also like to suggest, if I may, a shared calender app, for future apocalypses, biblical floods, locusts, pestilence and other cataclysms. it would surely help a lot, so I can schedule my appointments around them.

Anytime after the 28th is better for me.

Preferably in the following century, would be even better.

hmmm...no, sorry, can't make it. gotta watch the last season of GoTs.
He's gonna have to reschedule it for perhaps late 2019, assuming the spinoff hasn't started then.
