I loved your post. Here's my addition to that.


Update on my dad: He's been in the hospital since Thursday I believe. HIs medical issue is that he keeps experiencing spikes to his plus rate that are just over 100 per minute.

Another problem that he has is now being documented since he is in the hospital. That is the problem of experiencing dementia. Right now I would say that he has about 80% of his mental capacity still working.

Monday he will be having some heart test done while I'm at the adjoining hospital having similar heart tests.

He is supposed to a neurologist sometime but I don't know when that will be.

Edit: his heart is reported to be just fine. He is experiencing some sort of chemical imbalance. This could be due to him not taking his meds all of the time as far as I know.

How typical dear, you were subject to primal male behavior, they can't help themselves, you know. We should pity them. They need our encouragement and tutoring in sophisticated behavior.

Actually it was a night of immense pain for me.

I am sorry to hear this. We can escape from every thing but physical pain. It is relentless. I some times wonder if recurring pain can trigger PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
Pain 'appears' as a foreign entity, out side our selves, that attacks us. Just a thought.

This should sadly be of some consolation to you Blue, you are not responsible for his behavior and neither is he.
Sad because you don't want to see the decline of your Father.
It is devastating to experience, frustrating, heart breaking, but to maintain your sanity, do not blame your self for the confusion of dementia.
As you may read between the lines, I have been there.
Be kind to your self, soar above the confusion, you have much more to give in the future.

Sorry WISter Sister, I was caught up in a phone conversation and wanted to lie down while I spoke and rested a bit.

Lucid tried explaining the pain being outside of me as well. I didn't quite get it then either. All I know is that at times I'm ok and then it gets so bad it is just unbearable. Like if someone had a gun, I'd say "Shoot me now!" Kidding, but...yeah it can get pretty bad.

As far as the PTSD I think I have that from other things, hence my mild anxiety and mild depression? I think so anyway.

Yeah the men and that primal behavior...they certainly need a woman's guidance from time to time, don't they?

ETA2 Sorry. The wimmins has me all in a tizzy. There's a new wimmin in my building. I can smell her. It's all flowers and fruit and other stinky things. It actually smelt quite nice. I have been hiding because, well, a woman! I'm sure she's half my age, three times as good looking and five times cleverer than me. I will shine my light in private and sing the song of my people. At 3 a.m. I don't never messes with the wimmins... I never winz.
