Is that like when they say, "you can't change what happened, but you can change your reaction to it?"

Yes. But in these cases it is more of, "You don't know what happened ... you need to learn how to cope with the raw emotions that you experience."

Very similar ... but different.

Temps are plummeting here and we got a ton of snow.

Sit by the fire my friends and we shall tell the stories of the ancients and how things came to be in the realm of Acccasia. We can sing songs, drink merrily and fill the halls with laughter.

My family has instructions.

They have to wear T-shirts with the message,

Life is about remembering the past ( the good things anyhow ) .. and we always need to plan for the future in some ways. But we can also do that by living in the moment. πŸ™‚... just sayin’ ...

As long as they are fed and you don't touch their bellies, they could care less that we exist!

Bahaha!

Mine loves people and lots of snuggles and attention. He also has a big mouth and can meow up a storm any time of day or night.

Maybe I should reconsider if my cats are...cats. Perhaps they are denizens of the underworld. Well one anyway, she hates everyone except us. Men, women, kids, old ladies, babies she gives no F's about letting them know shes not cool with them in the house.

The other one..well...she is special. You've heard 'agile like a cat,' right? This one trips over her own paws, falls up stairs, misses her jumps. Very awkward. No other issues, especially when it comes to letting you know she's hungry! Very loving and cuddly too. If she sees an open lap, she's on it.

We have the angel and the devil, the ying and yang felines.

If I may, a rather cute cat thread a member posted today. It's a fun read if nothing else. Or share a cat story.

OMG You have a cat that falls up the steps like Ms Leaper? LOL
Is that kitty healthy otherwise? Lap cats are the best!

I had a cat like your first one. She adored Mark and I, but if anyone else so much as looked at her sideways, look out!

So Jiminy has ying yang cats.

WE DO!! Our own lil Mrs. Leaper.

She is healthy, just clumsy. We were a little concerned as she was a rescue and had her checked out.

Yep, our ying yang twins. One fat black kitty, the other skinny black kitty with polar opposite personalities. Guenhwyvar and Tifa
