the Truck union says the drivers are ready. The mayor says they aren't.

How is any of that Trump's fault?

Don't you realize yet? Truth does not matter because Trump is evil. People are being blinded by partisan hatred right now. And frankly I find it disgusting. IMO, the locals need to make a citizens arrest on this mayor, and get those trucks rolling.

She is called La comandante by those that works under her, also she is been know to be Una politiquera, she is not for democracy or liberties but she is a veiled independetista bordering in Socialista with deep ties within the special interest and big private money.

In PR when you hold the office of Major of San Juan it means that you are working to get your feet into the governors seat.

She wants chaos in order to be able to blame the government Federal government for her own failures and get sympathy from the voters.

In other words she is your version of a Latina Maxine Waters

Confirmed by FEMA

Citation please!

Other mayors have been getting there from across the island to attend

Plus there is a YT interview of the head of FEMA on CNN basically saying the Mayor of San Juan has declined to participate in the central communications command of the rescue effort. He said she wasn't using it, when everyone else is.

In your opinion is President Trump's public commentary helping the situation on the ground?

You don't know, you commented. Are you privy to closed door meetings?

You have yet to say what you wanted Trump to do he had not done.

The company was no other that Westinghouse.

You don't say?

After receiving her master's degree, Cruz was recruited by Westinghouse to work in its human resources department. She also has worked as a human resources director for Colgate-Palmolive, Banco Popular, Cellular One (now AT&T), Scotiabank, and the United States Treasury Departme

Thanks Pavil that is a nice article, yes the metropolitan area is not just San Juan but various towns all together that have consolidated in the area due to the growing population.

The Island inner municipalities are small with only big areas in the towns of Arecibo, Ponce and Mayaguez, still no as heavily populated as San Juan.

So sad they have been devastated because those areas and towns are very beautiful and lush.

The alcardes are able to go to San Juan to visit and to talk about the need for their people so the rest of the Island is not that badly cut and clean up is been on going.

Is still many places inaccessible due to the topography of the Island.

Why are you a prick, so you don't like trump...move on nothing to see here.

Trump never said they were lazy, I feel like you are forcing your skewed understanding of what Trmp wrote without fully understanding the context of what is really going.

This is a radio station incoming call from a caller who is a Puerto Rico Police Officer, they give some insight into the real issue with Puerto Rico

Also, Puerto Rico was already an infrastructure mess due to leftist policies, the US has/is doing its best to help all its territories; a different president wouldn't make any difference.

Lefties gonna bitch about Trump or Bush or Reagan....etc....regardless.

If you hate him so much, vote him out in three years; no body cares what you think a tweet means.

Personally, I think your lazy. You could be helping Puerto Ricans yourself, but that would get in the way of Trump bashing.

Really? I didn't that, interesting, but this was back in the early seventies, The major is about my age now so she was as young as I was during that time.

Unions in PR are still strong and they can be very vicious.

Damn straight. Funny thing here is that the people complaining haven't a clue about Puerto Rico. I bet my worthless fiat currency on it. Its these damn SJW's who read/watched the news and heard the words "Trump and "Puerto Rico" and suddenly they are qualified to accurately place blame on Trump. Puerto Rico's infrastructure was hurting big time before this catastrophe and the blame needs to be placed on the territory's authorities.

the problem is he is an idiot. Now what has he not done you think he should have done?

I've stated my issue already. He should not have made public statements demeaning and insulting our fellow Americans who are in the midst of dealing with tragedy.

Then your issue is irrelevant because Trump called out your fellow Americans who are NOT in the midst of dealing with the tragedy, when they SHOULD be.

You don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "irrelevant."

My fellow Americans in this case are the three million or so residents of Puerto Rico whom Mr. Trump demeaned and insulted in a public statement.

I'm content, as noted, if Trump will keep his mouth shut and get out of the way so that qualified people in the Administration and in Puerto Rico can get real work done on relief.

You keep spritzing that pile with rose-hips though.

Sigh, except he didn't call out all PR's, only the ones not doing their jobs to help. Hence, your issue is irrelevant.

It's great you can read Tweetie's mind isn't it? What he said is on the record.

Yeah, I know, for all to see.
Hence your issue is irrelevant.

Wow, thanks for helping us to understand what's really happening in Puerto Rico. I hope everyone in this thread will pay attention to what you're saying. Safe Travel's to your Brother and heartfelt prayers to You and Puerto Rico's people.

Marg, other then trying to educate ourselves on the facts and sharing them with others who are willing to listen, how would you suggest an average US citizen help the relieve efforts ? I lost my beloved in Aug. and think he would really like the idea of his stuff being donated, but is that even practical to try and send things. Is there any charity you think is doing a good job with cash donations?

Thanks, my family is doing fine so far.

Right now I believe is some centers collecting goods for all the three Hurricanes that hit US territories, the aid is been distributed for all the disasters together.

My husband wants to send cash as that is more needed than anything else but my brother said that at this point is no a good idea because San Juan is such a mess.

If I was you and you need some items for the disaster just contact your Red Cross and see what they at accepting at this time.

Thanks, that is good advice.

I'm curious Marg, from your perspective ....what direction would you like to see Puerto Rico go in ? Do people there see this as an opportunity to re-build something better or are they still all too traumatized and busy dealing with the immediate needs of survival right now ?

If Trump is tweeting something, he knows something.

We will see in a week or 2 why he said that.

It's mind-boggling to me that anybody can still be stupid enough to believe this. What ridiculous horses**t. He tweets whatever idiotic nonsense pops into his speed-addled, senile brain, without any thought or consideration whatsoever. There is absolutely nothing in the recent past that implies that "if he tweets something, he knows something." It is, if anything, the exact opposite. He doesn't bother to wait for facts before he starts spewing idiotic nonsense everywhere. He doesn't even CARE about facts. He only cares about perception, and about trying to sound like a tough guy. He doesn't know anything. Somebody hurt his fragile little boy ego, and he lashed out. Just like he always does.

i mean come on.... don't be so willfully stupid. it's embarrassing.
