I think Trump's goal is simply for North Korea to understand that dropping the posturing and engaging in diplomacy is their best option, because he's not #ing kidding about the military option.

If only Trump was that clever. It's obvious from his tweets that he has little desire for a diplomatic solution. And from his comments at the military dinner the other night about the calm before the storm, he could be planning something exactly the opposite of a diplomatic solution.

Well today it was revealed the media embarrassed themselves again, Tillerson never thought about resigning and there's no problem between him and the President.

There was also a report on Fox that this "line of communication" he spoke of between the US and NK is primarily to do with the status of the 3 Americans being held by NK. They aren't negotiating the nuclear situation through that channel.

Correction: Secretary of State Tillerson denied that he was considering resigning. He sidestepped the issue of calling Trump a "moron." When asked about Tillerson, Trump said that he had "his confidence," which he always says before firing someone. Tillerson cannot resign because he, Kelly, and Mattis are reputed to be the only things holding this administration together. If Trump asks for Tillerson's resignation, we will see the storm Trump was talking about.

Correction: Tillerson didn't sidestep it, he said it was petty and refused to dignify such nonsense with a response. His spokeswoman later clarified that that part of the report was false as well. Tillerson never called Trump a moron. If he did do you honestly think he would still be SecState? These are the same people reporting Trump is so thin-skinned he might start WW3 over a tweet, yet he wouldn't fire someone over a personal insult? That doesn't pass the smell test.

NBC was had by another "anonymous source". Probably the same people that told the media Tillerson, Kelly and Mattis are holding the administration together. How many times are you guys gonna be tricked by these fake stories before you learn?
