I am in Austin and the local newspaper here is the Austin American Statesman. I have been posting on their facebook page www.facebook.com... They have repeatedly deleted my posts as "spam" or as against their "terms of service". I contacted them over facebook and here was our exchange: Me: "Who keeps marking my comments as spam and why?". Their reply: "We can't speak why other readers might report comments. If one of our staff members hides or deletes a readers comments it likely violates our terms of service. You can review those in our About section. Hope that helps. Thanks for reading!." I replied "Ok, I will review those, but can't the AAS admit that it is biased?" They replied "We strive for objectivity and appreciate any feedback to help us to better serve and inform our readers. Thanks much!" I said "Pfft, you know that is not true. Ok, but on a second note, how do I report a post that I see as violating your terms of service?". They didn't reply for 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes. Then I said "Y'all are totally one-sided and not true objective journalists. You are the epitome of what President Trump calls 'fake news'. At the very least, admit your agenda". They replied "Sadly, staffing limitations dictate how often we are able to monitor this inbox. If you would like to send a letter to the editor, try letters@statesman.com. Hope you have a nice day". I said back "Please tell me why and how my comment is against the terms, "Uh oh, the leftists have been caught doing business with the Russians?" which I can see that they saw, but didn't reply.

I was born and raised in Austin...

The Austin American Statesman is ironically un-statesmanlike and wholly un-American...

I’m sure if you post in newspeak citing the religious laws of progressivsm they will unblock you...

As a bonus you, could include the requisite mantras of the left...
Such as “strength in diversity” and “a person cannot be illegal, only undocumented” and “not my president” and “I’m with her”....oops, don’t use that last one

It's common practice for many Leftist news sites to delete posts going against the Leftist ideology.
It's happened to me on more than one occasion.

You realize that any major news outlet is biased or skewed to either one side or the other?

They're manipulating us into hating each other, that goes for both sides of the aisle, an aisle that is getting wider and wider by the day. That's no accident and I'm sad to see so many people falling for a false narrative.

"Liberal this, Nazi that." If you're one of those types then you are who they are targeting and you are part of the problem.

Many Leftists and especially Leftist journalists don't support free speech.

On a side note...paragraphs are your friend.

You are being disingenuous if you don't recognize a significant liberal media bias.

Alex Jones is in Austin...A marketing genius that took pure BS on a halfassed public access channel and turned it into a right wing nut empire worth millions. I'd like to recommend his Caveman true Paleo formula, it's a great cure for whine attacks.

Thank God no fake news from my fellow Texan AJ....pure genius!!!!

Read my post again, the very first sentence, also the first part of the second paragraph. They would seem to indicate that I recognize it on both sides, no?

What are you talking about? It's simply an admission that the left are part of the problem by calling people Nazi's, the same goes for the right. I'm not following how you came to that conclusion because it's way WAY off target.

Just an illustration that there's plenty of bias to go around and it's not just limited to libs. So actually it's not a deflection. but education.

Try some of Alex's Caveman true paleo Formula....

First of all, paragraphs. Paragraphs are good and help for easy reading.

Next, did your posts violate their terms of service or not??? I'm guessing they did which is why they were deleted.

So if you broke the rules how are they in the wrong here???

Well, what sort of response would you expect if you approach them in such a manner? There are better ways to go about getting answers.

Also, if that is the sort of stuff you post, I can see why they would take it down. They do not want their pages spammed with that sort of nonsense.

Perhaps you could share the contents of your posts? As it stands now, we have no way of judging whether or not there was something about them that merited removal.

Perhaps English is not your first language and don’t understand certain idioms and speech patterns of the high west’s apex civilation...

When you say “left this, Nazi that” we assume you’re conflating the latter with the formers opposite....in this cas, the right...

As [I hope] you know, Nazism was a uniformly leftist ideology as is all totalitarian statehoods...
They nationalized every major industry from the railroad to individual healthcare...Krupp steel and the people’s[Volks] car[wagen] come to mind...
My wife’s undergrad dissertation was written on physicians and how they were indoctrinated into the leftist womb of Naziism....and how those highly educated individuals became complicit in a genocide against Jews...
I know how much your “religion” cares fo Israel so I’m sure her thesis would be of great interest to you...
Hint: it was a genetic bottleneck of hyper-aggressive, High IQ indivuals bred by circumstance....
Dune would be a great read for you...think of Germany as Salusa Secundus...
But I digress...

SHOCKING. Such unexpected behavior from the side that felt compelled to take down Trump lawn signs. You'd almost want to call it fascist behavior,

So you completely ignored the first part of my post which gives the context required to understand the second part?

Maybe your reading comprehension is lacking because you are automatically assuming I'm trying to attack you? Seems like it.

Apparently people aren't quite used to someone criticizing both sides yet, they're so embroiled in identity politics that they neglect to see there's a middle ground.

Like I said, identity politics. You're part of the problem as is the side screaming "Nazi!" all the time.
