Don't give me that not a Mac.

Even Macs need an upgrade as well.

And Apple is even worse about their software and being compatible with older systems.

I have a 2008 iMac that's been needing replacing for the last 4 years. I just haven't gotten around to spending the money for it.

I generally find that clean windows install works wonders in that department and most people these days partition there drives so as to allow a minimum loss of data if and when a new install is required/desired.

That being said I'm thinking of setting up Linux on my second PC. Not used it since my college days all the same, might need a small refresher course.

Love your spectrum+ avatar, it was my first computer!

Linux has got much better now, if you start with linux mint 18 (mate) you should have little problems.
