Seems like the Twitter account "Boston Antifa" forgot to turn off the location sharing option before Tweeting. Turns out the Twitter account is based in Vladivostok, Russia.

I don't know what this means, I just found it interesting. What do you guys think?

Russia also bought Ads promoting Black Lives Matter and targeted them to Ferguson and other places.

At the same time they sponsored stories citing/attacking those Ads and BLM stories and posters.

They were stirring the pot, fostering protests, working up the Alt-Right.

They had Antifa and BLM websites, ads, news stories. Ditto Muslim. Then they would go off the rails on those sites...then direct the Alt-Right and Conservatives to those sites to see the horrible BLM, Antifa and Muslim posters calling for death to all conservatives etc.

Russian operatives used Facebook ads to exploit divisions over Black Lives Matter, Muslims

There's no way to prove it because the account has since been suspended and/or deleted. But then again the fact the account is no longer active gives some weight to the picture in my opinion.

Execs from Twitter, Google and FB are scheduled to brief the Senate Intelligence Committees in both private and public hearings over the next month.

No doubt Russia is elated to exploit and nurture the divisions in America right now.

That is not rocket science.

they have spent gobs of money to do it and continue to do so.

It is bizzare. According to FB they were precise enough to create fake profiles of people purporting to live in targeted districts in Wisconsin, complete with tagged small town stories about local farm issues etc. Then once connected sufficiently started to share fake news about HRC and promote Trump or fake BLM news yada yada.

here is an example from PA:

Melvin Redick of Harrisburg, Pa., a friendly-looking American with a backward baseball cap and a young daughter, posted on Facebook a link to a brand-new website.

“These guys show hidden truth about Hillary Clinton, George Soros and other leaders of the US,” he wrote on June 8, 2016. “Visit #DCLeaks website. It’s really interesting!”

Mr. Redick turned out to be a remarkably elusive character. No Melvin Redick appears in Pennsylvania records, and his photos seem to be borrowed from an unsuspecting Brazilian. But this fictional concoction has earned a small spot in history: The Redick posts that morning were among the first public signs of an unprecedented foreign intervention in American democracy.

The Redick profile lists Central High School in Philadelphia and Indiana University of Pennsylvania as his alma maters; neither has any record of his attendance. In one of his photos, this purported Pennsylvania lifer is sitting in a restaurant in Brazil — and in another, his daughter’s bedroom appears to have a Brazilian-style electrical outlet. His posts were never personal, just news articles reflecting a pro-Russian worldview.

On Wednesday, Facebook officials disclosed that they had shut down several hundred accounts that they believe were created by a Russian company linked to the Kremlin and used to buy $100,000 in ads pushing divisive issues during and after the American election campaign.

...

On Twitter, as on Facebook, Russian fingerprints are on hundreds or thousands of fake accounts

The same morning, “Katherine Fulton” also began promoting DCLeaks in the same awkward English Mr. Redick used. “Hey truth seekers!” she wrote. “Who can tell me who are #DCLeaks? Some kind of Wikileaks? You should visit their website, it contains confidential information about our leaders such as Hillary Clinton, and others dcleaks.com...

So did “Alice Donovan,” who pointed to documents from Mr. Soros’s Open Society Foundations that she said showed its pro-American tilt and — in rather formal language for Facebook — “describe eventual means and plans of supporting opposition movements, groups or individuals in various countries.”

Might Mr. Redick, Ms. Fulton, Ms. Donovan and others be real Americans who just happened to notice DCLeaks the same day? No. The Times asked Facebook about these and a half-dozen other accounts that appeared to be Russian creations. The company carried out its standard challenge procedure by asking the users to establish their bona fides. All the suspect accounts failed and were removed from Facebook.

Many forget that Putin and his generation are veterans of the Cold War, in which many covert agents trained to "fit in" American communities, etc.

Remember the picture of him with Reagan? "Just another tourist Meester Prezident ..."

Well done!

I gotta call BS... I just googled their tweets and went to images... No other tweet from them has a location listed. I'd say it's photoshopped, but I don't have any proof. Just 60 seconds of research.

ETA: I just searched Twitter and it looks like that account is deleted, I can't find it.

Hmmm ... if he personally colluded with them to affect the election like several in the Trump campaign?

Sure, go after him.

If his company was just participating in the marketplace? Nah.

Why, do you want to punish Zuck because he's spilling the T?

Things are starting to make a lot more sense.

So its only collusion if it is team trump?

If his company was just participating in the marketplace? Nah.

Then what with all the hubub?

And lo, there was no comment from Gryphon66 about realizing anything about social media.

And lo, Shooter still continues to pathetically miss the mark of the argument.

It would certainly explain all the ridiculous stuff that keeps happening all over the US and the rest of the Western world. Look at the outrage over the NFL protests.

The riots between anti-fa and the white supremacists.

The faked racist comments posted online by those of color and also the faked hate graffiti painted on buildings to cause discord.

The bizarre shift in our education system to essentially teach very little of substance. The focus seems more leaning toward teaching kids about the internet and social media, while the basics like reading, writing, geography and world events, and math are far less important.

Colleges have become a cesspool of 'safe-spaces' and whiny students who see the boogy-man around every corner and go running to authorities to ban everything.

MSM reports on little more than sensationalistic headlines and clickbait, while other important stories go unreported on and unheard because they either dig too close to what is hidden, or it's not good enough to outrage those divided.

You can't tell me this is not some huge psy-op attempt. And it's working on a great many people. We won't need world war 3. We'll destroy ourselves easily enough.

Now sources are saying a BLM ad was bought by Russia.

The links already shared are very telling about the gullibility of the whole thing.
