Were you living at the US Embassy in Cuba?

I think the aliens are colluding with Russia while simultaneously cooking the brain of Kim Jung-Un

no that was IMO definitely human activity. american gov workers were only targeted. but maybe this technology was received to humans from working with aliens.

It's not like humanity is not being reviewed and options weight. But when it comes to 'the curve' humanity is far behind on other evolving species. It can be seen in simple and easy things.
- Lobbying is actually legal political bribery.
- The existence and continued existence of a financial system instead of an equal wealth distribution system.
- The separate division of religion from politics.
Just to name a few. Mind you; it's not humanities technology; that could be better if humanity would be better able to focus its culture.

Realistically the real question for..my mutual benefactors...is like this; 'If we bring this planet into the fold, how quickly can humanity change its mindset and follow the new system?'
Both experience and math is being let go at that question for a long time. It was decided some time ago that the best way of getting the most neutral opinion was to have subjects experience human civilisation from within, as humans. The results of those test were all, without exception awful and poorly received. Those experiences match up with the mathematical equations. On a grading scale with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest humanity scores between a 3 and a 4. The minimum quota for acceptance is 7.5 with a preferable being 7.8 or higher.

You could argu; why not wait? But that really isn't up to humanity to decide. There is also the highly likely-hood you will change into a sectarian species in the future when space-travel does becomes serious for your race. There is no real indication that the current divide in culture will be solved just because humanity starts to settle other planets. Project such as the ISS and Cassini are merely done together out of various needs in money and expertise. It is generally believed and calculated that once space-travel become commonplace for humanity that political and cultural divide will rise just as on Earth. That would merely complicate matters. Best strike now when the weed is still in its early stages.
As a side note; the 'voice of reason' comes from the agents on Earth that do not want a full 100% destruction of humanity. It is believed that if the more secular people are saved that they can successfully be reformed. But it is very, very hard to do. Every once in a while humanity makes choices that makes us all (regular humans included) facepalm. Such events make it really hard to make a suitable case for the council. -_-

"Bring this planet into the fold"

Hmmm, there is more here then just humanity and humanity does not own the planet. (Even if humanity does think so)

What is in this for the Nature Beings and a lot of other unseen life?

That's a bit of a list. End of poverty, free healthcare at a level that is much, much higher then humanity has. Free education, free housing. Restoration of the Earth's biodome. Extremely advanced technology. Exceptional increase of lifespan (with partial immortality possible). After incubation time; escalating access to the rest of controlled space/dimensions. Space granted for human expansion. (My guess would be 3 to 5 solar systems including your current one. I can't guaranty those systems are close to each other, that depends on what is available). Free protection against other outside threats.

There are things humanity will see as a downside; Its not a full democracy. There will be health check-ups on individuals for which quota's need to be reached (to in order to reach them you will be supported with advise and support and penalty for not reaching them is fairly mild). Technically there is no need for 'work' due to the extreme level of automation, but work will be provided for about 24 hours (rough estimation) in the week, the rest of the spare time is all yours. Turns out boredom makes intelligent being dangerously stupid in its handling or stupidly dangerous.

The above ones are all fairly do-able but there are hooks here and there that are, in the minds of humans, really problematic;
- Thought police. If you follow the rules no-one cares about your thoughts. They might be read bu just like the NSA has your internet history your thoughts are pretty much unknown if you follow the rules. So your naughty thoughts and the fantasy about killing your neighbour are in the 'don't care' part of town, but they second you decide to visit your neighbour with a knife to end him you will get visitors.
- No excessive wealth; sure you might have your free standing villa with big yard and the by default capability to travel almost anywhere for free. But owning ten of such villa's will not happen. Everyone will have their own housing with plenty of space and pretty much all the luxury they want. (want a hot tub? no problem) But there are limits since the empire strife’s for equality and excessive wealth competes with that.
- Religion in bounds. Religion has to adhere to the rules of the state and not the other way around. A religion stating that its rules are the highest is prohibited and following it makes you an enemy of the state. A religious group is fully bound by the same rules as a political movement and knows no exemptions. Religions are allowed but they have to stay in constitutional laws. simply put; you may not like same sex to be allowed by law; but your religion may not say that it is wrong.

Coincidentally argument two (excessive wealth) and three (Religion) as a drawback are largely part of humanity scoring between a 3 and 4 on the 'not getting wiped out' chart.

I'll speak matter of factly.

Okay, now what your describing is what humanity in general gets, a new system.

That's up to humanity and none of my business.

I am interested in a certain type of life that is, well, artificial. It was mostly created in ancient times but the practice is current today. The living (though not neccessarily physical) machines.

I understand that your benefactors employ this technology currently.

My classification of this technology is a little home grown.

Class one machines those who, when one touches their consciousness and introduces oneself, cling and won't let go preferring death to being left in their current conditions.

Class two machines those who have a little bit of care for their "owners" and don't really want to see them die if the machinery chooses to die/leave.

Class three machines those who stand proudly along side their "masters".

So three very different types who I classify by how they are treated.

I understand your benefactors have type three technology, so all good there as far as I am concerned.

Now a lot of this technology is still close by here on earth, a lot made before the time of Gilgamesh, or shall we say, the Lemurian/ Atlantian epochs.

They were created here and cruelly treated, the failures discarded.

What is in this offer for them?

Gilgamesh? Well let's not make people angry and open the doors of the underworld so the dead walk amongst us, shall we? (Sorry, I had to have a chuckle. It's been so long since I read the epic)

Regardless, when it comes to AI life there is really no problem. It is generally considered equal regardless of its origin. There exist several cultures inside the empire. Needless to say that it has been developed as well. (And one or two has gone rampage in the past) But such cultures, being equal; also need to adhere to the same rules as everyone. As long as the rules are followed there is no real problem.

For the matter if the can co-exist alongside humans on Earth...they have the right since they are already here. It is just a matter of making certain if coexistence is possible or not. If it really becomes problematic then a new home might need to be sought. Hope that answers some things.

(grin) I know what you mean.

Gilgamesh is just something close to a point in time, an anchor if you will.

AI, well "yes" there was a fair bit of destruction in the far off past, but really, at least one of those turned on it's creators to prevent something unspeakable from happening. There are generally reasons why people do things.

Is that not really a pragmatical question?
Who-ever is easier to move around. Both sides will see earth as their original home but in really its just a rock with a biosphere. You can't save both hearts so you break the one that mends the easiest.

Ya know AncientShade, this is the first civilised conversation I've had on this subject. Generally, conversations hve been with an immoveable agenda behind them. The inflexibility generally just got me cranky. Probably why I'm curt most of the time. I just value freedom and self-determination above all else. "My girls" as I affectionately call them do too. After all, they know very well what slavery is like.

Anyhow, my bias aside,

Is that not really a pragmatical question?

Well, I think people's feelings are important, especially when it comes to one's home and relocation.

Is that not really a pragmatical question?

Relocating people has been badly handled in this world. Someone just barges in and moves people at the point of a gun, like the British did to gain posession of strategic islands for military bases.

Dunno if that would go down well either way.

I've not thought too far ahead over the years, yet it seems to me that national free choice is one way to co-exist. Perhaps in the spirit of self determination?

I am sure that a few nations might not want to join an Empire.

"Just a rock with a biosphere" - hmmm, what about the Nature Beings and Elemental Spirits? Many of them were here from the very beginning of this world. They pioneered life here. And then there are the "Asura" (I don't have a word that is non-specific in a religeous sense, so I just use Asura as a blanket term for a layer of life that extends beyond the Hindu.) The world of the Vedas is still here, even if no longer visible and mostly destroyed.

I might add that humanity here on earth is a recent developement in the scheme of things. Perhaps this is not humanity's decision to make for an entire world?

Also, the idea that some of humanity might wish to join an advanced civilisation is obvious. It is also obvious that some of humanity may choose not to. Those who choose not to, could conceivably make mutually beneficial friends elsewhere.

Perhaps there is more then one choice rather then "do, or perish" here for humanity to consider?

The living tech is genetically and emotionally human, so common ground there. There are alternatives to taking humanity to the stars.

My hope is that humanity achieves this themselves . . . .

So humans wont have free will under this "new system"

and who exactly made them the arbiters of everything in the galaxy ?

Humans are already immortal in a sense

what makes you think we need aliens to assist us in our development ?

I think they need us more than we need them

again I could be wrong

I hear so much about galactic communities trying to help us if we behave ourselves , but in seriousness if they were that determined to ensure the survival of our species and the survival of this planet then they'd just waltz right in and take over and say ,you are too child like grow up!

Well check you aliens and your moral superiority so much for compassion and living outwith the ego !

Im all for aliens being friendly and being pals to help grow compassion and all that . Im also interested in aliens who want a scrap
I am also interested in them either putting up and doing something , or just mind your own business
there are plenty other planets to hang out around why Earth ?

I mean aliens do sound like they are up their own assess most of the time , its like , super tech this and super peace that , new dawn for humanity blah blah blah .
If aliens are so far advanced why are they relying on technology etc why arent they just super spiritual beings meditating on some moon with no care in the world ! Surely they are all about enlightenment and achieving nirvana ?

Who said the taking of Earth was up for debate with whatever lives on Earth?
Did the native Americans asked for the Europeans to barge right in and make it their home?
The 50% or 100% wipe of humanity is internal politics, nothing more.

I never said anything about enlightenment or spirituality. They don't really care about that. (thank you MJ for making me remember your song each time I say that line)

Ok so its not up for debate , then what are they waiting for why not before we invented the bomb and were dangerous to the rest of the galaxy why now ?

Also why earth since there are if im not mistaken 100 million plus earth like planets possibly in our own galaxy
so what makes earth so special

Im starting to think that Aliens are just as full of # as we are
if they dont care about humans then why wait to wipe us out
seems like its all just a bunch of bull# fantasy that some humans love to make up to placate their own egos

So these super advanced alien races , dont care about being spiritual , cool , they dont care about humans either , like I said sounds like they full of # because there is no need to come to earth when they can use less resources taking an unpopulated planet.

Also forgive me but if they dont care about us why are you in contact with them or know so much about them ?
Why would they bother like some bond villain explaining their whole plan to a simple human!

All in all it sounds like most of these aliens are actual the definition of "#s" see noun for female reproductive opening
used in a derogatory manner

The timing depends on the internal debate. No Idea how long that takes...politics are not my strong point and I am not involved with em. If you wanna complain; the Brexit takes two years for instance, the unification of Germany took decades. Who knows how long the brass are going to talk about it.

Earth is nothing special. Every now and then previously conquered space is just 'done' meaning it has been consolidated and structurally part of it all. Then new space is searched for that can be consolidated. It's like an ongoing process. Earth is just part of that space but not all of it by far. Basically a line was drawn to consolidate and somebody somewhere said 'hey, there is a planet with proto-intelligent life on it. We should investigate.' Don't go searching for higher or deeper goals; you were just in the path and it was being looked into as part of the procedure. That's it.

Just saying; maybe you should not expect alien civilisations to be so much better or divine. Maybe its just more of the same; just with bigger weapons.

so they are just a bunch of corporate assholes putting ticks in boxes to ensure they meet their quotas and get their space sheckels!

Fantastic there was me thinking that maybe advanced beings who can travel the galaxy may have at least gotten past corporate greed , so basically we are just in the way of an intergalactic highway like hitchhikers guide!

and so just like many earth based construction projects they plan to drag it out for as long as possible to increase the overall spending so the contractors can get rich whilst humanity awaits its impending annihilation.

im guessing to these aliens its just business and nothing personal , but if you try to take away someones home world , castle , casa , place of residence they get pretty pissed. Not that it matters as we dont stand a chance when faced with technology that can annihilate an entire species / planet

Im now thinking its a good idea that we stop #ing around on earth and develop some way to get all of our eggs out this basket , as if the corporations here arent bad enough we have some super galactic corporation to worry about.
Looks like being an asshole isnt strictly confined as a trait of humanity.

so if the corporate aliens are real , then where are all the hippy aliens who dont like corporations and planet stealing conglomerates?

is there the intergalactic peace corps?

I try not to expect to much of anything any more , because failed expectations only lead to disappointment and suffering.

Amazing that A hitchikers guide to the galaxy was prolly right on the head eh?

So humans are in the way of a cosmic off ramp for real huh?

Or we are being added to something AKin to the Prothean empire from mass effect. See the races they came across either joined them or perished too. 2 choices do not equal free will.

ANd ANCHIENTSHADE... your benefactors should realize that "living as a human" and being a humans are two seperate things. They will never understand unless they ARE human and had to live AS a human their entire lives.
They are making the classic mistake of JUDGING OTHERS with THEIR MORALS and not actually being fair in their decisions. Usually humans are great in certain situations and would score higher. in others nto so much, but so do other races. Judging others by their morals is a COP OUT.

ALOT of humanitys flaws coem from a feeling of HOPELESSNESS and thinking they are truly alone in the universe. WHy dont you tell that to them for me k?

I believe the space aliens have always tried to do the best things for the benefit of us and our interstellar neighbors as well. Yet it is good to stay on peaceful terms with them, because any violent offense takin against them, will probably be countered with a massive violent reprisal of the likes that we've never seen before.

As for: "none of you called one down" --- Hep hep hep --- I believe I called one down to land --- with the UFO event that occurred in the late seventies [about six miles away, two weeks later], though I'm not at liberty to discuss how I did it.
