Football fans across America were clamoring for the jersey of Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva on Monday, a day after the former Army Ranger broke team orders by being the only player to come out of the locker room for the national anthem.

Villanueva, who stood alone while "The Star-Spangled Banner” was being played Sunday in Chicago, currently has the #1 selling jersey on the NFL’s web store, ahead of top players including Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr.

America has spoken, Fire the SOB's!!!!

Source< br />

The owners at first are listening to the threats of the Soros funded "Resistance" pounding at their doors but when their bottom line sales start to hurt, the owners will see where their real fortunes lie, with the fans.

A small portion of Americans have spoken for themselves and no one else.

No, the man on the Steelers who showed respect for the anthem became an instant fan favorite. Deal with being in the loser crowd.

I thought we are supposed to boycott NFL?
Now I'm confused.

I've been saying that the Steelers need to get rid of Tomlin for a long time.

Everyone is buying one guy's stuff more than anyone else, sounds like a clear message to me.

His jersey went from almost nothing as a lineman to what?

Guess who else has huge jersey sales and doesn't play in the NFL anymore?

You aren't the only one confused.

I thought the players had the full support of the NFL to kneel or not, but this guy shows support for the flag, and now he's in the dog house with the league and his team?!

I've been saying this is why so many people have an issue. The NFL has no consistency on these issues.

Sure players can kneel, but they better not show defiance the other way!

Kaepernick is the only player in the top 50 for merchandise sales who isn’t on a roster.

Ben Roethlisberger apparently has some buyer's remorse over not presenting for the anthem as well.
www.hollywoodreporter.com...

I expect to see some backpedaling from a number of NFL players this week.

Of course they skyrocketed. His family were probably the only ones to have them before. I know him but I'm a hard core NFL fan.

Now he is apologizing for it. I have to wonder if he is being made to do this.

On nfl.Com today?

It shows people are sheep.

Like this
Kaepernick, whose jersey sales skyrocketed last season in wake of his protests, vowed to donate all the proceeds back into communities.
