Absolutely. And they're hammering the leadership for a change. In addition to the ship officers fired, they've removed two squadron commanders, 7th fleet commander, and both the surface fleet commander and CINCPACFLT announced they were retiring early as well.

Underrated post mate, I agree. Show China we want nothing to do with THAAD in SK (unless they buy it). We do not want regime change with a Western puppet. We will move the troops out and move THAAD out if you destroy his Nuclear program and make sure that they invest in their people, ie. the aid is distributed by Chinese UN forces. Plus they end the war, agree that there doesnt need to be a unified Korea, they just need to know that the US or China isnt pushing the agenda.

Put it back in their court.

Unless of course your motives are to use SK so you can 'stop the threat of communism', and China's motives are to push the Americans out so they can 'rule the south china sea'.

Perhaps that must be it, it is US vs China via Korea....we are a sad race of creatures.

Multiple sources are saying that fighters flying in the area are armed with air to air ordnance now. The four F-35Bs that flew with the B-1s on a recent mission were filmed with live AIM-120s before takeoff.

Could you In theory if the battery was active, use THAAD to knock down a SAM? Thaad has a 2000+ MPH advantage over say an S-300 I mean the math is rough given the cross range and warning time involved. Coupled with lofting a SAM in the vicinity of one own aircraft but it should be possible no?

I theory, yes. The IDF shot down a Syrian SA-5 missile with and Arrow 2 interceptor six months ago.
