You really need to learn how the english language works. I can use the pronoun "you" without directly referring to you or just you you know? Furthermore, that isn't an "attack". If you think I'm attacking you then you need thicker skin, or a safe space.

I feel like a football fan should strive to make to at least one game a year. It's just a more fun experience being around all the energy rooting for your team.

Easy for you to say. The closest team to me is the Bills. About 3 hours away. No biggie, I've driven further for a hockey game. That said I don't have a passport and I'm in no hurry to get one. Don't have any desire to go to the States anymore.

OK. Here's a novel idea. Instead of arguing whether this protest is right or wrong, we discuss WHY there's a protest in the first place. We might actually achieve something then.

Hey now! That would be smart and reasonable. We can't be having that in this day and age of playground politics.

No you were both directly referring to me as an individual and attacking me.

Let me provide you with an example:

Regardless of what you "see" it as, it is disrespecting a tradition that is supposed to be solemn and respectful. Though your answer here shows the hypocrisy of people like yourself that are ok with disrespecting the tradition when you agree with the reason but it is no ok when you don't like the reason.

Splitting hairs over my post and ignoring the content of what I was saying? I guess you DO need a safe space. Ok. I'm sorry for offending you. I will try harder to think about your feelings in the future. In the meantime, here is a participation award. Feel better little guy.

You mean like ignoring the content of what I was saying when I asked your thoughts on people signing along to the national anthem, and instead assuming what I thought and attacking me?

Hopefully there are enough safe spaces for you as well.

As I have said before on this thread, the behavior of these teams is disgusting and disgraceful. Disrespecting America and its symbols, especially on foreign soil is revolting. Many of these players, have a long way to go before they can pontificate to the rest of us. Want to do something about it, here are some numbers.

I didn't ignore anything. You edited and I didn't see what you edited. I responded to your initial post just fine and you got triggered. In fact, since you seem so ticked off I'll even answer your question now.

How do you feel about the Penguin fan tradition of singing along with the National Anthem.

Is that also "disrespecting the Anthem" in your eyes?

No. Singing along isn't disrespectful. I'm referring to altering the lyrics or melody of the song with additional chants.

Patriotic, non-violent Tea Party meetings ...

T Party reserves the right to own and bear arms against a tyrannical government. Seems like Leftist only hate some of what government does against a certain segment of people. Wake up and see what's happening against all the people. Don't even compare the T Party to violent leftist Soros operations like
Antifa. I do have a problem when the US Constitution is practically being overthrown for Sharia. Stop being so naive. By the way I have utmost respect for Saladin, Akhbar, and Queen Noor. Even Akhbar tried to unite Hindu and Muslim and was considered the greatest of all the Mogul Emperors.
Do you really want to allow for honor killings and making women cover their faces. Why the leftist people in the US support that? I do have personal experience which completely defies you and your accusation of me so don't bother going there.

Well thanks for admitting it. Let me just say this... OReilly nailed it last night when he criticized the NFL for kneeling during the Nationsl anthem but standing for God Save the Queen. If you can't figure out how that disses our veterans I can't help you.

Did you ever define leftist for us? I'd really love to know what you're referring to, as the definition seems to be "anything I don't agree with."

Also, good to know you're on board with open threats of public violence from Tea Party members.

The rest of the post is standard prattle.

Thank you for answering my question.

I don't have a problem with either the Orioles or Penguins anthem displays.

I am not triggered BTW. I am passionate about this issue.

It saddens me that an activity I used to use as an escape from politics and the chaos of the world has been co-opted.

Maybe it always was an I was just oblivious.

We probably will never agree on this issue and that is fine.

I don't have a problem with the Anthem chants OR the kneeling. Tradition isn't as important to me as my right to free speech and protest are.

There's 1700 players on the active roster any given year. That doesn't include the practice squad and staff. HUGE turnover year to year due to injury, retirement and player falloff. So 38 arrests(not convictions) per year is hardly noteworthy.

Funny when I try to point out the thousands that are killed in inner cities around the world and attribute that toe left-wing terrorists I get shouted down.

Let me ask the question again, because BLM members did kill police officers, when did a tea-party member murder anyone over political views?

Please provide evidence.

Why were people ok with dictator O? Forgotten how he droned American citizens abroad? Forgot how he rewrite his own law forcing Americans to purchase product or be fined, forgot how he used the IRS to target political opponents .... I don't want to hear anything about Trump till you admit that every POTUS since JFK has been used as a tool for TPTB.

The reason I didn't mention Obama is because I am talking about today's issue. I TOTALLY believe they have all been puppets since JFK. Reason why JFK was killed by his administration is because he was taking us to a place of unity, not division. He most certainly was not a tool and all the ones after him have been. I haven't forgotten a thing and am reminded by people such as yourself some love to make assumptions and run with it than create a dialogue of discussion.
