Any action would have to be prefaced with talks with SK and Japan both. They have a lot more to lose than we do. Will we risk losing those allies if they don't agree with an attack due to a danger to their countries? Then there is China people keep conveniently ignoring. I imagine any attack on NK would also have to be after we have had talks with China, and they agree to not get involved if we preemptively strike NK. If they don't think actions NK has taken warrant a preemptive attack, and they stand by their word to defend NK in such a scenario, can we actually attack?

While I wouldn't put it back Trump himself declaring war without thinking things through, hopefully his administration will talk sense into him before he does something stupid. I think there are far too many hurdles in attacking NK - there is a reason prior administrations took no action, and it has nothing to do with cowardice.

Yes, I know, I never claimed it would. But conventional war could.

It would all be real easy if Kim would just bring/offer the nuke rocket to Donald and pretend Donald is Sauron and we can all move along here.
Bye! Go twitter or something.

Why it is untrue, you have to declare war to your opponent, but before you have to explain your problems to your opponent.

Universal explanation.
There is one guy (it's never a girl) that has a problem in his head. Then when he can't solve it, it multiplies and so on and then when his head is full of problems and there's no more room, the problem spreads to the first guy that he talks to, because it is a male problem, never a woman. Then it either escalates or it is solved.

If it escalates, the last guy who hears it will also have a head full of problems and then he goes to the guy who told him, and so on until they reach a guy. By then all guys will know but that one guy and they'll try to figure it all out. If the guy doesn't get it, problems are not solved, it will go from talking violence to physical violence.

So we all know who this one guy is and he interprets the world such a way he believes the source of his problems is outside his country. That source keeps moving ofcourse, it could be the USA but then he would go to Europe, to Africa. It could be Japan, South Korea, but then he will find out it also leads to Africa. In Kims case all he wants is to be safe and figure it all out but he needs to have the most powerful weapon, which is a nuke. If any country would top the nuke, Kim would simply try to get that weapon too. By now you could make up some story about a psychic weapon, tell the world and at some point Kim will be asking for it.

Encore, why it can't be a woman.

1. they make babies, they don't destroy them like they would kill ghosts
2. they are like the factories, the vaults, the males are like the key and protectors, since no new stuff without new babies
3. well one on one fair fight (which women always do when under siege) it's bare naked without guns, any extension as a weapon so women always lose, aikidokas are the exception, yes the brain is the weapon and it hasn't got genitals

You might think this has nothing to do with North Korea, but it's a universal thing.

Standard way:
There is an unused space, someone delivers a package in that space so it is occupied, the package opens and becomes something, something leaves that space whenever it is ready. Once that something figures everything out it goes to the delivery guy and says it's ok to deliver another package and goes on finding a space to deliver a package. So the father has an option and the son only one goal.

IMO, Articles like this from war-mongering CNBC heighten the prospect of an attack. North Korea could launch a pre-emptive strike ASAP, to reduce the number of missiles the U.S./Japan will be able to shoot down.

Tucked inside the U.S. Army's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, Raytheon is assembling missiles destined for U.S. and Japanese warships in the Pacific.

Recently, CNBC was granted exclusive access to the operation, as part of a multi-city, multi-month tour of Raytheon's extensive missile defense operations, including access to classified factories.

Raytheon is currently cranking out about 20 of these Standard Missile (SM) variants per month, comprising a key part of the Lockheed Martin-made Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System. The SM-6s and longer-range SM-3s missiles are intended to help defend against the increasing possibility of North Korean ballistic missile attack.
