Funny enough, this was written by 3 people. Subliminal or deliberate?

Anyway. I think it's demented to create a human being in a laboratory, let alone one with three parents. Why? Because it just has this ... naziesque feel to it, it just feels wrong.

CNN)The US Food and Drug Administration has told a New York fertility doctor to stop marketing a controversial three-parent fertility treatment, which makes it possible for babies to be made from two women and a man.

The health watchdog published a letter to Dr. John Zhang, founder of the New Hope Fertility Center in New York City, whose "spindle nuclear transfer" technique was used to conceive a boy born in Mexico in April 2016.

Zhang detailed the procedure in the journal Fertility and Sterility last year and is now marketing the technique, but the letter reminds Zhang the FDA has not authorized his use of the procedure in humans.

On the one hand, people will argue that it will help people with genetic dispositions, on the other, it's immorally wrong to play god with the Innocent.

On April 6, 2016, the mother gave birth to a reportedly healthy baby boy. "Transfer of the [normal] embryo resulted in an uneventful pregnancy with delivery of a healthy boy at 37 weeks of gestation," wrote Zhang and his co-authors in the published study.

Zhang's team of doctors went to Mexico to perform the procedure, as it had not been approved for use in the US by the FDA but was unregulated in Mexico.

In its letter, the FDA said Zhang's article stated the genetically modified embryo had been created in the United States but implanted over the border.

CNN reached out to Zhang's office for comment on Monday but received no immediate response.

About a dozen such babies were born in the US in the late 1990s/early 2000s before the FDA -- pushed, I think, by cloning concerns -- decided that this procedure needed FDA approval," said Greely.

The scary part about genetic manipulation to make babies of a certain 'flavor' a la Island of Dr. Moreau? Out there somewhere is the not so public Gubment genetic labs and factories, making super men, soldiers, whatever. The NFL and NBA selectively breed super stars don't they?

The Nazis had a program, called it Lebensborn.

Their program was based on race purity, encouraging people of 'proper descent' to make babies with blond hair and blue eyes.

Part of the Nazi Eugenics program, their counterpart to our Genetics program, the office of Lebensborn was conceived by the head of the SS (Himmler) and placed under the Department of the SS.

We rarely discuss ethics with foreign policy. Why should it be different with science? How do you decide when one activity requires outrage and commentary and another does not. The US dropped 28,000 bombs on five predominately Muslim countries in 2016. It is estimated US bombings have kill approximately 2,000,000 Arabs. Why is mixing up genes resulting in a perfectly normal baby a moral outrage where the bombing of millions is ignored?

However, I can respect your point. I agree, people should not pretend to be God.

The history behind it is frightening. And not to forget the Nazis brought over to America after WW2 to further their research and experimentations. Unfortunately, NASA and Big Blue aka IBM were two of them. There are those who like to pretend it never happened, but it did.

Because the thread isn't about which countries were bombed. It's about Genetic Manipulation.

funny how history repeats itself.

whats really rich is many of the same people who see a nazi in every corner will embrace the fruits of nazi research and philosophy under its new eugenics disguise.

Of course! Manipulating the genome is a 'good' thing, always 'improving' life as we know it.

yaaay.

That's was their plan all along. It's too bad only a few can see it. And then there are others who would derail the topic and go left field with it.

Unlike many here, it seems I am among the few that do not mind this one bit.

Then again, I play, a lot, a game in which 1 side is human, the other, a genetically modified race of warrior not meant for anything other than perfection and war.

Maybe the antichrist will be born from this Trinity.
