I want to dedicate Nikita by Elton John to a very special person. Though we have not spoken in many years, and though our relationship did not become
what I had hoped for, there is still a memory of sweetness and appreciation that lingers. It is rare to find a true friend like that, and I often
wonder if she will remember me as such.
But I understand there are some distances that can't be bridged between two hearts. I understand that good things aren't always the things that are
meant to be. This kind of love isn't a fire. This kind of love is a Cold War that doesn't end.
I will not forget her, and I wish her nothing but good things.
Mr. Kasem, this is a dedication to one I never stopped loving, never stopped believing in, but one I knew I had to let go on counting ten tin soldiers
in a row.
Phew! that felt good.
Anybody else want to make a dedication and let go of a few things?
edit on 24-9-2017 by NarcolepticBuddha because: (no reason given)
A long time dear friend, who I was beginning to get intimate with on a higher level, recently passed away.
No obvious cause.
She was fine one day and then went to sleep and died.
Still haven't got the autopsy report.
I dedicate this to her. She would approve with a smile.
