Donald Trump's decades of business experience, has made him a quick learner and adapter.

In February, he started signing relatively minor Executive Orders to nudge Republicans into Repealing-Replacing ObamaCare. Didn't work. Republican Senators seized-up.

So, this past week, President Trump started taking money away from Health Insurance Companies. Immediately, Republican Susan Collins started squealing. The insurance lobby is one of the main cash cows. Naturally every Democrat triggered their usual "The Sky Is Falling" alarms.

Today, Congress returned from vacation (yes..another vacation!) and went to work on figuring out how to fix the healthcare mess this country finds itself in. Most importantly, thanks to this "emergency" created by President Trump, DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS are working together towards that goal.

After President Trump threw his most destructive grenade yet into the Obamacare insurance markets, Republican lawmakers on Monday said they felt a renewed sense of urgency to come together on a bipartisan health care reform package that has been in the works for weeks.

Many lawmakers spoke only in generalities, not explicitly endorsing a legislative proposal that is being put together by the chairman and the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. But even those who just weeks ago had pledged to support nothing short of an overturn of Obamacare entirely now seemed open to the idea of repairing the damage to that law that Trump had done.

Also, it's been learned this evening that President Trump is getting word out to the Bi-Partisan commission that's working to fix the healthcare system, that he wants something done FAST...

Alexander said Trump told him by phone Oct. 14 he’d like to see a bill that funds the Obamacare cost-sharing subsidies that he abruptly cut off last week. In return, he wants to see “meaningful flexibility for the states in providing more choices,” Alexander (R-Tenn.) said.

“He said he wanted to make sure that in this interim period while we’re still arguing about the long-term direction of health care, that people aren’t hurt — those were his words,” Alexander said of Trump.

Alexander, the chairman of the Senate health Committee, has been working with ranking Democrat Patty Murray for weeks on an Obamacare stabilization bill with similar parameters. But the talks had stalled over how to define state flexibility: Republicans want to let states modify their health systems under Obamacare, and Democrats are wary of anything that could unwind any of the consumer protections in the law.

BTW.. I hate when Democrats demonstrate their belief that most people are dumb sheep who aren't smart enough to buy what's best for us. (i.e. "We must have full ObamaCare protections in every plan.") Bullchit! Maternity coverage for a 60 year old man, is NOT A "PROTECTION"! It's an unneeded, expensive, BENEFIT.

Your title is a little wrong. I've corrected it below:

President Trump is Hastening ObamaCare Demise - Wants a Better HealthCare System ASAP - and will kill however many people he needs to achieve it.

In February President Trump signed an Executive Order, directing the IRS not to reject tax returns if a filer didn't answer the "Do You Have Health Insurance?" question. Thereby avoiding the need to fill out the PENALTY payment form, if you didn't have legitimate ObamaCare-approved health coverage.

In March, the IRS agreed. The agency would accept tax returns from people who left IRS form 1040 box #61, empty/blank.

Today, the IRS has changed its mind. Apparently ignoring President Trump's executive order.

Is this MUTINY?

The IRS changed its stance, saying that tax filers MUST tell the agency if they have or don't have qualified health insurance. But the IRS's dedication to enforcing the penalty is still up in the air, according to:

If Congress repeals the ObamaCare Individual and Employer Mandates, as the Trump Administration is requesting, as part of the Bi-Partisan ObamaCare "fix", this entire IRS penalty discussion is moot.

Fingers Crossed.

In MAINE and VIRGINIA yesterday, voters indicated that they wanted their states to Expand the MEDICAID program.

The Medicaid program costs U.S. taxpayers $68 BILLION dollars last year. The current number of expansion states stands at 31. Expanding 2 more add Billions more in annual cost to this program. And it's VERY In-efficient, according to Forbes.
Forbes Analysis of Medicaid Expansion: www.forbes.com...

I wonder if President Trump could (or should) not allow any more states to join the ObamaCare expanded Medicaid?
