It would be too easy to just have as many covered procedures and diagnostics as possible for free, then the next level of care can be subsidized, and the next level be cash on demand.

If you want the fancy coverage or special doctors or facilities then get insurance for that.

Chemotherapy, at $20,000 @ session would require insurance, or deeeeep pockets.

Lol, I don't care how he votes, health care is not an issue for me. I was glad that someone called John McCain "Songbird," because he is a traitor who then sends our boys to die in foreign wars.

I don't think you like pointless wars and traitors either, don't be sensitive.

Who doesn't like pointless wars? We're Americans, by God. That's what we exist for.

We also seem to like traitors. We elected one President.

I'm no fan of John McCain but in this case, he's doing exactly what he should do. Whatever proposal had been put forth, it probably isn't good enough and someone needs to make sure the job gets done right. The Dems passed a bill without even reading it (unbelievable) and we now see what that produced.

I'm with you John! it isn't a matter of getting it done quickly. It's a matter of getting it done right.

The idea being the drugs and procedure shouldn't be so costly.

Streamline and simplify everything, even paperwork. Offer more and more "free" coverage all the time.

Let people lobby and provide data to make the case for which medical needs to be covered.

Kick all Congress and Senate to the ACA exchanges to buy their own insurance. Fair is fair.

John McCain doesn't care about you. He's all about protecting the Insurance Industry profit margins. Don't confuse his sellout with care for you and your family.

On that we can agree, however I'm pretty sure this thread was about his healthcare vote.
