Partly true but they also super hate Trump just because. Well, because a lot of reasons. A few that are about governance but more because of both his abrasiveness and the medias spin.

Liberals prefer someone who treats them like elementary school students. Remember how everyone had their "nice" teachers who would speak softly, give everyone treats when the class was good, and "mean" teachers who were really strict, shout and giving out punishments all the time?

I think it's like that. All presidents have their advisors, lobbyists, special interest groups and energy/defence czars.

The original post is a laughable farce - it's downright hilarious when an ATS member thinks he can psychoanalyze half of voting America.

I personally don't "hate" Trump, but often think he is the biggest clown the office of POTUS has ever (and possibly ever will) hold. I also have been disappointed (and sometimes pleased) with Obama.. and other presidencies, but they are not linked in any way.

Trump pretty much every week makes me shake my head in disbelief at something he says or does. This latest fiasco with his statements about NFL and NBA players and teams were handled in exactly the wrong way, the outcome predictable. Another head-shake moment for President Trump. He gives plenty of reasons for people to "hate" him.. people don't need the previous Presidency to justify their anger with Trump, believe me.

FYI, Lemmings don't actually commit mass suicide by jumping off cliffs together. It's a myth. Very much like the theory being presented here in this thread.

And what's crazier is that numerous Democrats and progressives have voiced why we actually don't like Trump, yet that hasn't changed the Trump supporters' views.

It's like saying that your neighbor only likes oranges because they hate peaches. But when your neighbor gives a list of reasons why they actually like oranges, those answers are ignored and the earlier claim is repeated. It's a glaring example of proud ignorance & the failure to accept that reality doesn't match their theories.

Even minor statements Spoken or Tweeted by President Trump cause Democrats to over-react to the extreme. The "NFL/Kneeling" statements from the President, is the most recent example.

This indicates the presence much deeper psychological issues.

It's probably the combination of Obama not delivering the gold, and Hillary not delivering anything at all.

Nope. Every time I see liberals "blow up" over President Trump's statements, I'm thinking to myself, "They have really been rubbed raw by something." Then I think of underlying reasons for such emotional overreactions. Hence this thread.

But I'm now thinking that it's a combination of Obama and Hillary let-down to blame for the extremism of emotion.

My theory - You created this thread because you can't stand that some people criticize your idol. So you created a wacky theory to fill your psychological need to have people adore your idol.

So you're seriously going to ignore all of the stated reasons for why we dislike him & his policies?

My posting history demonstrates that I am not offended when people say negative things about President Trump.

I never blew a gasket over Obama's utterances. But I did go ballistic when he shoved ObamaCare down our throats. That was an ACTION perpetrated by Obama. People go ballistic over WORDS from Trump.

That tells me that there's an underlying "issue" of some kind. Hopefully its from being hurt and disappointed, by Obama and Hillary. The alternative is a mental disease. I refuse to believe that.

I'll rescan the thread and find them. Looks like it's grown a bit since my last visit.

My theory makes 1000x more sense than your theory and evidence seems to point to my theory being correct (this thread being one).
Are you saying that if Trump lets you down you'll be wailing on the next president because of that?

I was a Democrat ever since I was old enough to vote and never changed parties until last election. I changed because I was tired of the lies and cover ups that came out with the WIKI leaks and YET , NO ONE could deny the leaks, they only tried to cover them by diverting attention to Donald Trumps "locker room talk". I believe Democrats are mad because the fun times and corruption in the White House are over.

I personally don't care how Trump talks and tweets. Personally I think its refreshing to have someone say whats on their mind. (Mind you, we are a nation that speaks its mind on ALL things.) I don't follow politics at all, but I do believe Iran was mocking the USA when they captured our military men and woman. We are suppose to be a strong Nation that others look up to. Instead they were laughing at us . What kind of message does that send to other Nations?

Anyways, Trump got voted over Hilliary and the Democrats need to stop crying about losing the party house (White House) to Republicans.

Lets make America Great again!!

What I find the most amusing is that the Democrats could have run almost anybody alive against Trump... and won. Bernie Sanders could be president right now. Instead, the Democrats rigged the system to push forward one of the few people on this planet that could lose to Trump

That is some truth right there, the corporate Dems handed it too him on a silver platter when they f@#ked Sanders.
The local dogcatcher could of won against Clinton.

Counter theory:

Trump was elected because a bunch of white conservatives were pissed off they had to sit by and watch a black man (gasp) win not once, but twice the presidency!

And not only that ... under his leadership gays were granted the right to marry and the ACA was passed (and continually upheld).

So, in an act of spite and revenge they intentionally voted not for America's best interest ... but to "stick it to dem libruls" with the worst possible candidate.

Yeah, but after Trump totally poisons the GOP/conservative "brand", the Republicans are going to loose a lot of power. Trump is literally tearing the GOP apart. If anything, he's shining a flashlight onto the racist cockroaches and hateful, ass-backwards, low-information bigots that support the Republicans.

More people nationwide voted for Hillary, and if it wasn't for the GOP quietly gerrymandering districts for years, the electoral collage would have tipped in Hillary's favor.

The Republicans can't win in a stand up vote-for-vote honest election. America's actual population contains more centrist, left-leaning, and progressives. As the years go by, the demographics of America continue to shift to the center-left.

The Democrats only seem more liberal than they used to be because the GOP/Republican party has jumped off the hardcore nationalist-extemist deep end. If you look at the platforms of the Democrats who get elected today, they're pretty damn similar to 20 years ago.

If you look at the platform of the GOP/Republicans and the policies they promote today vs. 20 years ago? It's night and day. The Republicans have been hijacked by radical ideological religious zealotry.

Removal of the Fairness Doctrine and the "Southern Strategy" combined with the GOP's cozying up to the Christian fundamentalists in the 80's has lead to a radically different Republican party.

The policies and platform that the Democrats have up on their website is considered pretty "centrist" by every Westernized democracy on Earth. The Republicans? They're practically Christian ISIS these days.

It will be chaos for the GOP I agree.
I'm not sure though, the GOP have changed too much in the last 2 or 3 decades, to me I'm hearing the same crap as when Reagan was around. I do feel the Dems have changed a bit more than the GOP, they are chasing the money more, the candidate was chosen by the elites IMHO, I dont feel like they are as much the peoples party as they once were.
Just my take on it, I don't disagree with much of what you said.

I agree about the Republicans and how things were during Regan. I remember "Good morning, America..." that was sort of a diet version of "Make America Great Again".

These days, however, the Republicans aren't the party of conservative people who believe in conservative ideals.

The Republican party has become the anti-liberal, anti-progressive party. That's it, plain and simple.

The conservatives in America would support any half-cooked up idea if they thought it would somehow piss off, damage, or annoy Democrats and progressives. These folks flip flop and turn their backs on traditional conservative values like fiscal responsibility when convenient. Republicans 20 years ago wouldn't recognize Republicans today.

As you pointed out, Democrats have changed ... but I'd counter that a Democrat elected 20 years ago could still be elected today. On the flip side, a Democrat elected today could probably get elected 20 years ago.

You honestly can't say the same thing about Republicans from 20 years ago and now.

The part where I agree with what you are saying is that Democrats and liberals thought that OBAMA would improve their lives, and when I say that I'm talking about their financial lives. Meaning that they would get better jobs they would get higher paychecks, that they personally would have MORE for themselves. The part that these liberals don't understand is that it's not the president that is capable of giving them more. They don't realize that they are personally responsible for going out and earning more. Getting a better education, working towards a better job, doing it for yourself. They continually think that they don't need to apply any effort, but they deserve more because that is what the Democrat liberal platform is all about. I have coworkers who live by this exact mentality. If they want me to do more than they should pay me more, this is why they continually get passed over for raises, and I continue to get a full $1.00 an hour raise every year I have been at this company. And anyone who works for any company knows that a Full $1.00 an hour raise every year is virtually unheard of. Typical raises at any company are 25 to 50 cents an hour. Why do I get these raises that I get, it's because I work my ass off to earn them. What my co-workers don't understand is that they would get them to if they put in the effort instead of saying I'm gonna do just enough to not get laid off or fired, I get paid by the hour so I'm gonna take as much time as I can get away with to do the job. I get paid by the hour so I don't care. If they want me to do more they have to pay me more. It is that mentality that gets them passed over for raises where I continually get astounding raises for the effort that I put in. Oh and on a side note, I don't tell my co-workers about the raises I get, however my boss tells me all the time that I get the raises I get because of the effort I put in. And that the other guys get passed over for raises because of their lack of effort.
