The UN is a gigantic swamp. Time to drain it. Best way to start is to pull the funding, lock the doors of the UN building and run the leaches back to whence they came.

... an awkward silence followed by some scattered laughter.

Once the translation reached their ears.

US is a joke, Trump is the head clown and the world knows it.

Yes, we all know you are anti-American.

We get that you want to see the US of A collapse.

We also get that you seriously underestimate the ability and will power of American resolve.

The joke is on you if you think that the world would be fine if the US collapsed.

Who knows maybe you might see you and yours truly get a dose of "freedom". Or be begging for help.

Chavez also expropriated land from large agriculture firms in order to boost agriculture. Agriculture declined and the Venezuelan's had to rely on imports because the state was unable to, or refused to, manage the lang it stole.

The UN as it's lifeblood is using socialism as a pipeline into their globalizing scams. That is why they laughed at criticism of socialism. If they agreed with with Trump they would have to fold up their house of cards early. Maybe it will be better if we tear it down for them instead.
The UN is a tool of the globalists, and it isn't for helping people in actuality, it's a system of control.

Trump is a failure, the apt quote is from twiitter,
And of course you are right, America is the most powerful nation on Earth...for those in power that is..not much to do with socialism when you have the power though, I care more about the little people, those in power stand behind the power.

Socialism makes cogs of "the little people". They are the raw material with which socialism is built.

We are a socialist country - the USA is anyway.

Nothing is Capitalist at all about it. The banks are too big to fail or jail now, corporations are protected by gov law and it is too expensive to go after them in any meaningful way in court more often than not unless you reach major class action status (Like what happened to T-Mobile for saying unlimited but it was actually deprioritized after 26 gigs of use).

Much of the economy you see is a facade of just a few companies that own it all and a government fully complicit from the local to federal in ensuring this death grip of command & control continues.

There is no way to argue against it either. Talk about cutting any program anywhere ever for any reason and the first response you get is "You just want people to die or don't care if they do"

Enjoy hell dumb F***ks.

That's USSA to you sir!

When either corporatist or socialist goes full bore they really do get harder and harder to tell them apart. There is still capitalism left, people's ability to think up their own ideas and get out there and hustle, but it gets harder and harder especially with trends like the fedgov facilitating Amazon into becoming a juggernaut that leaves no room for self starters to do a little ecommerce.

Right out of Mugabe's instruction book on how to destroy your country. They are fighting each other to have the highest denomination currency and inflation in the world.

History. The historical evidence is insurmountable, and only dismissed by the dogmatic or blind.

I am open to see evidence.

Show me a socialist country that is the paradise that they claim?

As my previous post pointed out, many influential people said that about Venezuela until it went in the gutter.

So I would love to see your examples.

I truly regret watching that video. Now I have to invoke my anger management routine for a few minutes.

Short answer: there are none.

Most, if not all countries that declared themselves socialist have failed miserably, or are totalitarian.

List of Socialist States

I know.

Its the no true Scotsman fallacy. This is exactly what Peterson is discussing in the video I posted.

We keep hearing about the socialist utopia, we keep being told how other countries are doing it and on there way there. And then when they become hell holes, we are told "Nevermind, that wasn't real socialism"

If Trump wanted real laughs he should have congratulated the UN at what it does best: Raping innocent children in third world countries.

Bet they would have been laughing their asses off over that one.

Don't forget introducing Cholera. Haiti says thanks for that btw UN general assembly....

The "little people" are literally having to decide either to starve to death or eat their animals in socialist Venezuela. I would say that is a pretty big fail for socialism.

Trump criticized socialism in Venezuela* has 'being faithfully implemented' which was met with an awkward silence followed by some scattered laughter. An individual began enthusiastically clapping which generated some applause in the room.

Trump did not appear amused.

Sounded like audience wasn't sharp enough intellectually to get what he was saying...

OK.....You see statements like yours are why it is difficult to take some of you yanks seriously.....

Trump is caricature of a buffoon and yet you see a competent leader....

They laugh at this, yet didn't laugh at Saudi Arabia as the head of the Human Rights council. Let that sink in.

Trump is on the right track.
