He was getting arrested on suspicion of selling cigarettes. He died because he resisted arrest with a respiratory condition AND a heart condition. That's sad, but the most you could charge the cops with is wrongful arrest.

Selling cigarettes?

Oh no!

The humanity!

When I was in high school I bought my smokes off of the county sheriff, until I was of age.

As I pointed out already, the cops don't make the laws. Go protest the politicians.

For the record, I think it's absurd they made a law against that.

A law against what?

Do you not find it unreasonable to go to such extremes over a smoke?

Are you saying you don't know the "rest of the story" but you will 'assume' it was over cigarettes only. Seems all he had to do was move. I have friends who sing in places like a street corner in Nashville or Memphis. If the location is not set up to allow people to gather around them they are forced to move, by black cops in Memphis' case as it is a predominantly black city government.

Sounds like rubber bullets are being used now.

Do they hurt? Can they put your eye out?

This asshole "journalist" was insinuating a few minutes ago that they might be live rounds and not rubber bullets.

I'm sure all the protestors have their wills in order, and enough life insurance.
