Blacks were not the only slaves. Another point, there was many African (black) slave traders.

There is no such thing as the NWO. It's a creation of conspiracy nuts.

Your epic ignorance is showing. Luckily, it can be cured, but like A.A., you have to admit it first. Good luck!! You can do it!!

When you can prove who is behind this NWO and what their goals are, then I will consider what people have to say on the matter.

This NWO nonsense is absolutely absurd.

''They''? Who are ''they''?
Vandals? Yes. Idiots? Yes.
But attempts to paint these idiotic vandals as examples of some larger reactionary left wing dementia is reactionary in itself.

Wasn't the 3rd stanza of the SPB the reason that NFL football player decided to kneel during it being played?

Yeah right....the 3rd stanza that pretty much nobody has ever heard and nobody has ever sung live in the history of pro sports.
Ask the dumbasses that are kneeling for the anthem, I can guarantee you that none of them even know there are 3 other parts.

I would wager that most of you didn't know there was more to the SSB, which is the topic of the OP.

Again, why do we not sing it?

you seem to have a bunch of answers and knowledge, please tell us, why don't we sing it?

If I knew, I wouldn't be asking.

And if you knew, you wouldn't be asking me.

Do you find it interesting when the arguments of the allegedly bright consist completely of ad hominem?

I do.

Whoever did this was just dumb, but I'm strongly suspicious that it was done for publicity.

I can't wait to see what the next target is going to be.

I heard that slaves are mentioned in the Bible.

No worries. Religions are protected.

Even if their texts mention slaves.

Let's not go full drama queen.

That is what people said when it was just a matter of taking 'The Dukes of Hazzard' off the air.
No big deal.
Don't worry.

It's par for the course these days. Seems that being conspiracy-minded allows people to be intellectually lazy.

That could be the case. It will be interesting to see what comes out of this, if anything.

What I'd really like to know is how many members read the OP and were shocked to learn there was a 3rd stanza to the SSB.

It's not the democrats. It's some idiots.
They come in all flavors.

Stop trying to add fuel to the fire of division.
You could have brought the story without blaming the democrats who you know didn't do this.

Most of them didn't know.

And they don't care that there are overt references to slavery in the song.

Why should anyone be offended by slavery, after all?

According to some on the "right," it was just a work program for some disaffected Black folks. Gave them opportunities.

Who cares if people are offended??? No one has a right not to be offended!

Well, you know, unless you're offended about important stuff like statues and songs ... then it's GOD SAVE THE AMERICAN WAY!!!

I still can't get my head around this outrage over symbolism.

First they came for the Dukes of Hazard...and I said nothing.

Oh, the slippery slope.

Sure, go for it. Believe whatever you want to believe and worship whomever you so desire.

I'll even pitch in a dollar so you guys can build a church next to the church of Fonz.
